I really loved the topic presented, I decided to participate after going through and digesting the topic. Kindly check it out below, I hope you find it very interesting. Hop in and let enjoy this ride together.

Introduction

Blogging has become an household term especially to those who has one thing or the other to do with writing. Let me share with you some things I understand about this concept.

Blogging started initiatialy with people writing down their activities for the day, more like a diary but as time went on it became broader in scope as people who had given themselves to the art began monetizing at some point. Blogging became a means of communicating ideas and sharing useful and vital information for public consumption.

Well let me delve into the contest proper by using the guidelines in the announcement post. Let's enjoy the ride together.

What type of content do you develop on your blog?

I put up content that has to do with tutorials majorly. Although these tutorial are in different fields which includes cryptocurrency, graphics design and the other areas. The goal is to produce something that users can benefit from because I am not writing to yourself alone but to others.

What is the content that you like to publish and develop on your Steemit blog?

I publish quite a number of content on steemit. I put up different kind of content especially content that I know will interest my readers. Let me try and itemize the contents I love to put up on my blog

  • Diaries.

I don't think I have gone a week for the past few months without putting up a diary. This helps me track my activity and documents them for reference purposes. Somehow it help me measure my level of productivity for the day and could even help me know my next line of action. I would also say diaries gives me the opportunity to pour out my mind.

Diary related contents

  • Graphic/ Art related related content

If you have been following my blog lately you would see this. I had always loved graphic design from the very day it caught my attention. My intention is to help users across the platform produce simple yet captivating cover designs for their write up. I believe having a good cover can be a leverage and can add value to your blog.

  • Crypto related content

I also creating content on cryptos. I always love to keep myself abreast of the happenings in that space. I always find myself sharing on my blog what I was able to glean online while surfing the internet. I do this because I believe it would also benefit my readers. Although for quite sometime now I had put that on hold because of the engagements I have on the platform.

  • Deep thought topic/discussion

I love it when people come together to share their ideologies, perspectives and thought about certain topics and subjects. No man knows it all like I will always say. Sometimes we need to hear other people speak to get wisdom. So I put up contest with topics of interest to allow people share their thought about it. This has a way of promoting engagement and interactions among users.

How often do you post?

I post on daily basis at least a post. I made this a culture a very long time ago, although it was not easy to stick to this resolve as I was not born a writer, I only learnt the art by exposure. A big thanks to steemit for the timely exposure.

When I discovered the only way to get better is to keep at it, I had to then stick to the resolve. Presently I ensure I make at least a post or two a day just to keep me on my toes.

There is this saying by a friend of mine that I quite agree with. It says, "if you leave writing for a day, the ability to write will leave you a for a week, leaving it a week, will leave you for a year".
The bottom line is keep writing. Make it a lifestyles.

What are those things you do to start the creation of a Post, and what do you add to make it special?

There are things I do and take into consideration when I am ready to create a quality content. I will share most of them here. Some are personal but then it can be beneficial to all that come across this post.

Below are the things I do before making a post. This also make it special for me, I had to combine all the points to make it suit the above question.

  • Know my audience.

Before writing the post,I ensure I know the kind of people who will be reading the post. This should be the very first thing. If you write a post they are not interested in, then it will be a mere wast of time putting up the post.

  • Understand the topic/subject

This is very key especially when you want to write about a topic or subject which you believe people are itching to read about. You have to understand it before putting out stuffs about it. I am talking from experience here because I presently teach graphic design, I digest my topic before coming out to write about it.

  • Shunning distraction

Trust me this has always work for me, I cut off from everything that would slow me down when preparing a post. This include turning off my Internet data, staying away from friends or other activities that might also need my full attention. All these I do just to concentrate.

  • I create a draft of the idea/picture

After having a mental picture of what I want to post, I start making a draft of the topic or subject of discussion. This is more like a rough work which is to be refined for public consumption.

  • I give priority to details

In the course of preparing the draft and all, I ensure that am detailed and specific, not leaving the people in the dark concerning any aspect of the post. I believe being detailed helps the readers see and feel what you feel. In giving priority to details, I sometimes go out to outsource things.

  • Create the semi-finished version of the post.

At this point I start refining the post and making it look presentable. You do not present the draft, you present the refined version and this you do with with aid of a very good markdown for better presentation.

  • proofread / run plagiarism check

Even after preparing the refined version, I proofread the content to ensure it error free. Nobody will love to read a contest that is full of so many typo error, it shows the reader was very impatient in preparing the post.

  • Publish

At this point, my post is ready to be out there before my readers. This is what I call the finished version. As you can see from the whole process that it's not easy to make a quality post, but it's worth it.... smiles.

Conclusion

I will like to wrap it up here, I might have missed some things in the course of this presentation especially in the area of content preparation. Feel free to let me know in the comment section. I will be more than happy to read them.

Thanks for coming this far with me, I really appreciate your time as usual. Let me cease this opportunity to invite my friends @josepha @ruthjoe @simonnwigwe @barnsbanarbie to this interesting contest. Gracias!

Thank you for sharing

Thanks so much dear for taking your time to go through this content dear. I am looking forward to your entry on this subject.

Of course I will send in my entry shortly

I have known you to be a crypto lover. Seeing most of your entry in the SteemitCryptoAcademy Community usually leave me with knowledge. Indeed you are a guru in that area. Bets of luck to you.

It's true, of course, every content that we produce can be useful for other users. Of course we are required to produce quality content. I also share posts about content building my blog, if you have time please take a look and I'm very happy.
