Hi steemians,

Today I will participate in the contest proposed by the RECREATIVE Steem community for the fourth week of the Steemit Daily Challenge program, to present my favorite bread that I eat it often. I wish you a good reading.

The name of the bread and its ingredients that set it apart and make it delicious for you

"Malawi" is a well-known and popular Tunisian bread that is brought home. The habit of selling it started some time ago. It spread in small restaurants and some specialized houses. You can prepare it at home to replace white bread, and in Ramadan our tables are greatly decorated with it because it is a bread appreciated by adults and children for its ease of eating and digesting.

It is prepared in many and varied ways, and the ingredients of the preparation differ from side to side.

Ingredients:

  • Half a kilo of fine semolina
  • Half a kilo of flour
  • Little spoon of salt
  • Oil
  • Quarter of bread yeast
  • Hot water

how to prepare:

  • Mix the semolina, flour and salt.

  • Dissolve the yeast in a quantity of lukewarm water then pour it over the semolina, flour and salt mixture (you can add half a spoonful of sugar to the yeast and water and stir a little and let it swell before pour over the flour).

  • Knead well until you obtain an elastic, supple dough that does not stick to your hands.

  • Leave the dough to rest for 10 minutes.

  • After 10 minutes, take the dough and divide it into small balls.

  • Roll one of the balls as much as possible, but delicately so that it does not tear, then (grease it) with oil
Then fold it on all four sides.

  • Then re-roll it with the baler to make it medium thick (the dough can be folded over each other and then rolled out again with the galvanized two or three times to ensure a thicker dough served, and once may be enough if we are sure that the result is satisfactory).

  • Put the pan on the fire and grease it with a little oil, then put the malawy and be sure to turn it over on both sides.

  • When the Malawi is ready, take it out and cover it a little with a handkerchief to maintain the desired softness.

Malawi can be eaten in the form of bread or sandwich with the addition of harissa, cheese, tuna and eggs....

Why do you like this bread?

I have been buying from Malawi since I was a child in school, and here I am eating from Malawi in the same shop until today, because I am used to this popular food, and a certain flavor has attracted me for years. years. It's a delicious food, and it makes me feel full, and it's perhaps the cheapest compared to other high-priced foods. Whenever I was hungry, I resorted to Malawi.

How much does it cost to prepare? Or is it the price in the bakery where you bought it? (steem)

Malawi is a traditional food that mothers used to prepare, especially since it is easy and its ingredients are simple. But in light of the work of many women today and the hectic pace of life, many mothers do not find enough time to prepare them, so the solution is to buy them.

In light of the demand, some housewives resorted to opening small shops and selling Malawi until it became a source of income for them, in addition to the many unemployed young people who are put on sale for Malawi sandwiches because they were needed and there was a demand for them.

On this occasion, I went to the small restaurant where I used to buy this bread and I chose to garnish it only with harissa and tuna, it cost me 1,800 TDN, which is equivalent at 0.58 US dollars, 2.633 steem. This is a reasonable and inexpensive amount, despite the country's food price inflation.

Which Steemit user do you like this bread for, and why?

I would like all my steemit friends to taste Tunisian Malawi bread because I am the only one who knows its taste, since there are no compatriots from my country on the platform, but if I had to choose one, I would choose @chiabertand, because I feel he likes to eat a lot and I'm sure he will like the taste a lot considering how many African students in my country are greedy for this type of bread.

I would to invite : @fredquantum, @chiabertrand, @steemdoctor1 to participate in Contest - SEC W4S4: "Our daily bread"

Hola amigo

Que lindo ver cómo con estos concursos uno conoce las culturas de otros distintos tipos de pan

Primera vez que leo sobre el MaLawi, pero veo que es muy práctico 😍, debe ser muy rico con cualquier tipo de dip o salsa
