How often do you shop for food and personal products for your home?

4bEjbgCbFMvA8T33kKpp3RsBvZue1Hns5Cwuz57pgmmNsP8AKzQjfnjB8L3NAmqNLokc4Yf27SRsp2UZ77LgALQrP9eUjhn4vXAYneCtQ4GJydkYkebLLq7LEUGkQ3L8XWoXVJ6XUCLj9o5gykdX58Xcxm2ovuWetGBHjwnjWEiZYwbBwt.png

Basically I shop for food and some personal product once in a month. The reason is, I collect salary after 30 days, and once I receive my salary, I normally write down all I will need for the month. After short listing my needs, I go to the market and buy them. Nevertheless, there are some products that can't stay a month with spoiling. Example is vegetable and bread. In the case of such products, I buy them weekly instead of monthly.

My favorite business is ipata market. Its a market that's located in Ilorin, kwara state, Nigeria. Its known as the biggest and the busiest market in kwara state. In the market, you can find any kind of foodstuffs and other materials you need at home.

Why is it your favorite business? How far is it from your home and what means of transport do you use to visit it?

Myself in ipata market fr shopping

Ipata market is my favorite because of the reasons below.

  • the prices of goods are cheap in the market compare to other markets in the state
  • I basically use to get all my needs in the market without stress
  • the sallers are friendly
  • there goods are of high quality

Talking about how far the market is from my house, and the means of transportation I use. Ipata is actually 2km from where I live, and i spend 300 naira (2.3 steem equivalent) on transport because, I usually make use of taxi. In the case of products that are not durable, I buy them in my street, and I don't use any means of transportation apart from my legs

What is your family budget for the week, fortnight or month in your local currency and in STEEM?

4bEjbgCbFMvA8T33kKpp3RsBvZue1Hns5Cwuz57pgmmNsP8AKzQjfnjB8L3NAmqNLokc4Yf27SRsp2UZ77LgALQrP9eUjhn4vXAYneCtQ4GJydkYkebLLq7LEUGkQ3L8XWoXVJ6XUCLj9o5gykdX58Xcxm2ovuWetGBHjwnjWEiZYwbBwt.png

I spent 15,000 naira (105.8 steem equivalent). Every month, I spend 12,000 naira (92 steem) in ipata market on things like rice, beans, yam, soap, oil etc. I also keep 3,000 naira (20.93 steem) aside for things like bread, onion, tomatoes, etc.

How many people is your weekly, fortnightly or monthly budget for?

4bEjbgCbFMvA8T33kKpp3RsBvZue1Hns5Cwuz57pgmmNsP8AKzQjfnjB8L3NAmqNLokc4Yf27SRsp2UZ77LgALQrP9eUjhn4vXAYneCtQ4GJydkYkebLLq7LEUGkQ3L8XWoXVJ6XUCLj9o5gykdX58Xcxm2ovuWetGBHjwnjWEiZYwbBwt.png

For now I'm the only person in my budget. I'm far away from my family member, and I'm not married yet, as such i'm all alone in my budget.

Hello @ishayachris

Thank you for joining the family shopping contest and detailing what your budget is, the frequency of your purchases and what foods you consume, and the distances you travel.

You're right certain foods should be bought more often so they don't go bad.

I recommend that for other contests you use exclusive photographs and that you do not have repeated ones in previous publications.

Thank you so much
