THAT MOVIE I WOULD SEE A THOUSAND TIMES!!!
Good to everyone on the platform, I deem it an opportunity to be participating in this interesting contest in this community. Much regards to @marvinvelasquez for the opportunity given to do so I’ very excited about it. This contest I think everyone will agree with me that it is not the first of its kind in the steemit platform, and I have participated in most of them. Though this the first time I’m noticing this theme on the Recreative Steem community, and it is also quite unique from the others I have participated in. Nevertheless, with all the similar theme I have participated in, one movie is what I always stick to over and over again. One movie that I can actually watch over and over again because it’s just so nice to me, being a movie lover I understand the uniqueness in this movie and why I always seem to be attached to it.

Passengers is an American sci-fi (science fiction) and romantic movie released in 2016. It was directed by Morten Tyldum and written by Jon Spaihts. The movie depicts two passengers who are awakened 90 years too early from an induced hibernation from their pods in a spaceship, the Avalon carrying over 5000 other passengers and crew members of the ship from earth to a new planet Homestead II for colony with the journey lasting 120 years. The film stars are Chris Patt and Jennifer Lawrence with Lawrence Fishburne and Micheal Sheen as supporting roles, all played the roles of, Jim Preston a mechanical engineer, Aurora Lane a writer and journalist, Gus Mancusa the chief deck officer other spaceship and Arthur an android bartender, all in the Avalon.
The story starts with the Avalon a spaceship transporting 5000 passengers with 250 crew members of the spaceship from earth to a new planet Homestead II for colony. The journey set to last 120 years makes it a necessity for all passengers and the crew members to be put in an induced hibernation to prevent aging and possible death until one month to reach the planet. Thirty (30) years into the journey, the spaceship collides with an asteroid that damages the ship even though is hypothetically supposed to be damage-proof and has self-maintenance and self-repair. The damages incurred by the ship after the asteroid collision results in a malfunction of a pod that contains Jim Preston a mechanical engineer, waking him up from the hibernation 90 years too early. Jim waking up as the only person in the ship and realizing that he was up too early starts to panic and try all that he can to put himself back to hibernation.
Jim fails to put himself back to hibernation, gives up and already lived a full one year in isolation with the company of android bartender Arthur in the Avalon. Jim feeling depressed and despondent and even thinks of committing suicide till he notices a beautiful young woman called Aurora in her hibernation pod. Jim makes research on Aurora in the ship and after viewing her video files, he becomes deeply affected and develops strong feelings for Aurora Lane. Jim now contemplates on the decision to revive Aurora from her hibernation thereby depriving her of her life in other to have her company. He finally after some thoughts and conversations with Arthur makes the bold decision to awake her anyway making her believe that her pod also malfunctioned as his did. He then asks Arthur to keep the secret of never to tell Aurora what truly happened to her pod until he have told her.
The story of the goes on much interestingly from there and full of thrills too. And in the end the Aurora Lane’s voice narrating the whole adventure of their journey on the Avalon, a quite interesting journey it was.
The movie does catches my attention a lot, but I never seem to understand why I like watching it so much. Probably because of its concept, I think this movie is great because it tells whether you can actually force someone to live with you for the rest of their lives. And also I think the protagonist Chris Patt is just an incredible dramatic actor and just keeps wanting to watch the movie as long as you see him.
Thank you all for coming through and wish to see you again, I invite @mukka, @kataali and @suabira to participate in this contest.
It is an interesting movie that combines science fiction with drama. I invite you to join our community.
