SEC S17W6: "Influencers".

in RECREATIVE STEEM2 months ago (edited)

In the digital age we live in, influencers have taken on an increasingly prominent role in society. Although I do not belong to the digital native generation, due to my work in the field of communication, I follow the evolution of this phenomenon in new media with great interest. I find this new way of communicating so direct and explicit to be fascinating.

Personally, I don't feel particularly close to the world of influencers. Being a rather introverted person, I prefer to stay behind the scenes rather than be in the spotlight. If I were to create content as an influencer, I would probably focus on themes related to graphics, advertising, and communication, areas in which I have experience and passion.

Despite my reserved nature, I recognize the importance that influencers have assumed in today's society. With their ability to reach a vast audience and influence opinions and behaviors, they can have a significant impact, both positive and negative.

On one hand, many influencers use their visibility to promote social causes, raise awareness about important issues, and inspire people to improve themselves and the world around them. On the other hand, there is the risk that some influencers may convey questionable values or unrealistic lifestyles, generating distorted expectations, especially among the young.

Ultimately, I believe that influencers are now an integral part of the contemporary media landscape. It is up to us, as a society, to learn to engage with this phenomenon critically and consciously, seizing opportunities without losing sight of potential risks. As a communicator, even though I prefer to stay behind the scenes, I will continue to observe the evolution of this fascinating world with interest.

You do not expect me to respond on this do you dear ibesso? You know I have a huge averse against people being full of themselves (what is the name of that god again starting with N?).
Influencers are marketeers a bit too frequently they have no idea what they are talking about, since they do it for money, whatever they advertise or promote or fame (king, queen, vip) my expectations aren't high.
It reminds me of a certain lady adopting children (house filled from basement to thre roof) just to show off and 'advice' to become famous.
The reality was she abused them, they live under harsh circumstances if not sent away.
Many influencers do not live the way they preach which gives me the creeps.

Good luck with the contest.

Dear Kitty, your comment expresses my love for your thoughts. I know this new form of exhibitionism makes you nervous, much like Narcissus who fell in love with himself. The world always turns at the same speed, and unfortunately, we humans slow down with the passage of time. I don’t want, as my ancestors told me, to not understand the youth. No, I don’t want that. I stand with them, even if I struggle to understand their spirit. But rejecting them? No. They are the evolution of our soul; to reject them is to reject a part of ourselves.

Influencers are from young people! I am so happy the evolution of the youth I know is different from those you know. I stand with a different youth, for sure a more relaxed one, that doesn't feel tje need to find someone to adore or be a noisy person.

We'll meet (or stand) somewhere in between.

P.s. I am fine with N. falling in love with himself. I guess he is out of women as well plus there's nothing wrong about loving yourself.
