CONTEST: THAT MOVIE I WOULD SEE A THOUSAND TIMES!!!

The movie, the karate kid is a martial arts drama film which stars Jackie Chan and jaden smith. The movie was made in the year 2010. There are other or previous movies with the same title as this one which was made in the year 2010. But this one is one of the best to me so far. It happened that a kid named Dre Parker and his mother were to move to china. As a result of his mother getting a transfer from her job to now go and work at china. After their arrival, the kid Dre met a young girl and befriended her. The kid becoming friends with the little created some hatred between Dre and one boy called cheng. Cheng didn’t like the fact that the little girl became friends with Dre. Cheng was really worried and started bullying Dre. He was always picking up on him. It once happened that the kids who were in the same school went on a field trip and then here comes cheng the bully to come and pick on Dre, but it happened that this time around, Dre didn’t allow Cheng to pick up on him this time around. Dre picked a bucket of water and poured it on cheng and his friend. After which he took to his heels. Cheng and his friends followed him. He wasn’t lucky enough, because he was cornered and they beat him brutally until he was saved by Jackie Chan. That was actually when he first met Jackie chan in the movie.

Dre was almost unconscious as a result of the brutal beaten he had from the boys. So Jackie chan picked him and took him home and treated his wounds for him. Jackie chan was called Han in the movie. He was talking to Dre about who the boys and their master is. He told Dre that the boys master has been teaching them not to show mercy to their opponents or enemies. No matter who they are. Dre after realizing that Jackie Chan was good at kung fu. He then asked him to teach him kung fu. At that very moment, Jackie Chan or mr Han refused. He told him he wasn’t going to teach him. Jackie Chan then decided to take Dre to where the cheng and his friends use to train. That is at their boss place. His main reason for going there was to make peace with the boys and their master Li. But Li turned down the peace offer and rather challenges both Jackie and Dre to fight Cheng. Han rather told Li that there is an upcoming kung fu tournament. Why don’t they allow dre and cheng to compete at the tournament. Li then agreed to that, but gave them a strong warning that if both Han and Dre fail to show up at the tournament, he will personally hurt them both.

After Han and Dre came back home, he realized that it is now a must and a duty for him to teach Dre kung fu. So he told Dre himself that he will teach him Kung fu. Dre was really moved and happy. The first training advice that he gave to Dre was that the true key to mastering the martial art or kung fu is maturity and serenity. So he began training him by basing on the first martial arts advice he gave him. So he made Dre to train with a jacket. He made Dre to be swinging the jacket on and off his back. Dre didn’t at first realized what he was doing and nearly gave up. He got to know that it was a very good beginning after he made him to put the jacket down and to practice the same move without a jacket.
He made him go through grueling training for week and then finally decided to make him rest. So he went to see the girl Meiying. He asked her to come have fun with him. Meanwhile her parents didn’t want to see her with Dre. They see him to be a bad influence. Dre then went and told his master that he wants him to help him plead to the girl’s family for them to allow her to come see him fight in the tournament. His master assisted him and the apology was accepted.

The day of the tournament finally arrived. Dre has really proven to his master that he has mastered all what he has taught him. This was because he was defeating all his opponents and was able to make it to the semifinals. Meanwhile cheng was also climbing his way up the ladder by defeating his opponents quickly. He was also able to make it to the semifinals.
Dre was matched against one of cheng’s friends who was master Li’s student. After Dre has beaten the boy in some of the rounds, Master Li then ask the boy, that is Dre’s opponent to injure Dre in the leg. He was able to injure Dre in the leg which resulted him to be disqualified. By so, dre automatically made it to the finals. His opponent was cheng. Meanwhile Dre was still healing from the injury he had. He was told to come out quickly or else cheng will be declared winner if he doesn’t come out.

Master Han healed him and Dre quickly came into the ring to face his opponent. The match begun and they fought back and forth with dre leading cheng with a 2 to 1 points. Li was worried and felt that his student can loose the game so he asked Chen to attack the injured lef of Dre. Which he did causing Dre to fall and in severe. Dre managed to get on his feet and stood on one foot. It was actually a snake stance move that he saw a woman perform one time. So cheng was the one to charge first on Dre, Dre was smart enough, so he backflip and kicked cheng in the head in mid-air there by defeating cheng. Dre was announced the champion of the tournament and was presented a trophy by cheng. All the other students bowed down to master Han in respect. Dre together with his master and the girl and his mother left the tournament with a big smile on their faces.
