SEC - S12W3: A Spring Flower
Hi, my dear friends!
For this context, I have chosen photographs of spring flowers from my garden.
What flowers appear first in our gardens? I think everyone will have their own answer to this. It all depends on the climate and what you actually planted in your garden, doesn’t it?😉
In my garden, the hellebore is the first to bloom. This amazing flower can bloom even in February! Therefore, it cannot be called simply spring, but rather winter-spring.
But the blooming of my crocuses always brings me special joy. These little colored lanterns appear in my flowerbed even before the first grass appears and become real messengers of the coming spring.
Tulips complete the spring marathon of flowering. Unfortunately, in recent years, when due to global warming we do not have much snow in winter, growing tulips has become quite difficult. Typically in my region they are planted in November in the hope that a thick layer of snow in December will keep the bulbs from freezing. But now, when winters have become snowless, bulbs often die from frost.
And I also want to say a few words about the emotions associated with flowers. I love giving and receiving flowers. Although, to be honest, I prefer to receive flowers in vases as a gift, because they then live for several years on my windowsill and remind me of who gave them. But cut flowers can also bring joy for several days. After all, flowers are flowers. This is always a sign of attention and a nice gift.
