Today am going to write about my favorite vegetable.

My favorite vegetable.

My favorite vegetable is soybean.

Some people might be surprised because many don't count soybean as vegetable.

Reasons why soybean can be counted as vegetable.

soybean is economically the most important bean in the world, providing vegetable protein for millions of people and ingredients for hundreds of chemical products.

That is why soy oil is one of the best vegetable oil.

what are the benefits of soyabean in adults.

From personal experience, soybean is very beneficial for an adult healthy body.
Soybeans are low in saturated fat and high in protein, vitamin C, and folate. They are also a good source of:

  • calcium
  • iron
  • magnesium
  • phosphorus
  • potassium
  • thiamin

  • Soyabean helps to manage sleeping disorder.
  • Soyabean helps in diabetes.

  • Soyabean improves blood circulation.
  • Soyabean helps build a stronger bone.

Any baby taking soybean powder always appear very healthy, because soybean is good for babies skin, babies hair growth's.
Soy milk is high in proteins, iron, and a variety of vitamins crucial for the healthy development of infants.

Soy milk is low in fat, which may help in maintaining healthy body weight in infants.

It can further lower the risk of heart issues and child obesity in infants.

Because of its high-fibre content, babies consuming soy milk may have a lesser incidence of bowel troubles and diarrhoea.

how to prepare soybean powder for your family.

  • Soaking- Soak raw soybeans in clean water for 3-4 days. Replace the water every 48hours. This process is known as fermentation. Fermentation helps introduce probiotics into the legume, as well as increases the legume’s nutritional value. It also makes the soy easier to digest.
  • Drying- Sieve the soybeans then airdry till all moisture is gone.
  • Frying or Roasting-Fry without oil or Roast the soyabeans on medium heat till cooked through. * The soyabeans would release their own oil to prevent the legume from burning.
  • Milling-Once completely cooled, mill the soyabeans into powder and stored in an airtight container.

To make it more nutritious we can add unripe plantain and groundnut.

The below is my own soybean,I use it for my tea,my pap and my stew rice.

Thanks a lot for the information shared regarding soybean and it's surprising health benefits, but then, like you said, i never knew before that soybean is a vegetable. Thanks for sharing.
