Les cuento amigos de Steem of Animals, esta mañana llegué a casa pasadas las 9 am. Y vi en una pared de la entrada a este insecto que no recuerdo haber visto anteriormente. Su forma me resultó similar al de una libélula, por sus ojos, patas, alas transparentes y nervadas y un abdomen largo.

I tell you friends of Steem of Animals, this morning I got home after 9 am. And I saw this insect on a wall at the entrance that I don't remember having seen before. Its shape seemed similar to that of a dragonfly, due to its eyes, legs, transparent and ribbed wings and a long abdomen.

Realicé algunas capturas, gracias a que este animal se quedó tiempo por largo rato, permitiéndose un gran acercamiento. Luego en busqué con google lens para tratar de identificar el nombre de dicho insecto.

I made some captures, thanks to the fact that this animal stayed for a long time, allowing me a great approach. Then I searched with Google Lens to try to identify the name of said insect.

Pues resultó ser una Hormiga León, aunque en su fase adulto son más parecidas a una libélula. Se les llama hormiga león pues en su fase larvaria se dedican a cazar y comer insectos desde una madriguera que hacen el la tierra.

Well, it turned out to be an Lion Ant, although in their adult phase they are more similar to a dragonfly. They are called antlion because in their larval phase they hunt and eat insects from a burrow they make in the ground.
