in Steem of Animalslast month

Hello @steemofanimals community, this is my first time here and my first answer! Oh let me tell you, I own cats, but all around my city and my neighborhood I found all this species right here:

Laziness: I had only taken this animal in photographs, however it was confiscated from the indigenous people who sold it illegally.

I ran to see it, it's huge, the size of a person, and it was trying to hang on to the rescuer, who is a tall man. Then I learned that this species occurs in the most western area of America. South, that is, where I live precisely.

Sloths are of great ecological importance since they constitute the largest proportion of the biomass of the tropical humid forest. Its behavior when defecating makes it an important part of the nutrient cycle, since once a week it comes down from the tree to urinate and defecate.

Even in the most rural areas the dogs are well fed and have owners.

I was about to adopt this beautiful little dog, but he got sick and died.

Obviously dogs are kings in people's hearts. In my neighborhood most people have at least one and take very good care of them.

Two very different realities: a flag macaw in a cage and 2 free. In particular, I would never have a small animal locked up.

They are called that because of their tricolor feathers, it is like the flag of Venezuela, my country.

Fun fact: > In Venezuela, the indigenous people had macaws as pets before the colony. During the conquest, the natives used them as alarm animals: when the enemy approached a town, even at night, the macaws would betray the intruders with screams. They were guardians.🔗

This free-ranging macaw is called "ara chloroptera" for its green and yellow colors and smaller size.

.Pigeons and hummingbirds Sorry, this is the best photo I have been able to take so far because the 55mm lens on my camera cannot zoom.

This pigeon is called "potoca", they are everywhere and people do not bother them or hunt them, they feed on food scraps, corn, rice.

This snake, colloquially called "tragavenada", is very common. It is not poisonous, it is constrictive. In the photo, one was rescued and given a live chick to feed before releasing it into its natural habitat, near water, wet areas.

I don't know if you can see it but this is a "carob" a mini iguana that personally fascinates me, they eat flies and other insects.

This must have been big because I was on the second floor of a building.

Chickens: Although chickens and hens are part of our basic basket, there are people who raise them as pets, I think they are the funniest and I would love to have some... If I didn't have cats.

We are in the rainy season and therefore cat mating season. These 2 babies showed up at my house still with the umbilical cord in place. Efforts to find his mother were unsuccessful.

In the first 2 photos Pascal. Feeding him with formula and thousands of care, he lived 11 days, in the last two photos London, he survived 15 days.

And in this way I could tell you a thousand more stories, the fauna of the western part of Venezuela, where I live, is very rich, although it is a target of illegal sale and indiscriminate murder for collectors of exotic animals.

Ahh great you present a lot of animals in one post. These all are fabulous and you present in a good way. Especially the parrot who have color like your flag is heart warming. Mostly in my house you can see the cats that I love the most. But now in these days we adopt a goat for sacrifice on Eid Ul Adha. Best of luck.

Thank you very much, so sweet 😻

Saludos amiga!

Hola muchas gracias! Me encanta fotografiar animales, gracias por apreciarlo
