SEC - S18W4 : Animal Welfare

Hello steemit friends wherever you are, how are you all? Hopefully friends are still in good health and can carry out all activities well. Today I tried to take part in a Steemit Engagement Challenge Season 18 Week 4 contest organized by the Steem of Animals community with the theme Animal Welfare

Animals are living creatures that have many benefits for human life. However, it cannot be denied that these living creatures are often used by humans for various purposes which have a negative impact on the survival of animals. Even irresponsible human use causes animal extinction. In fact, these animals can be used to help with various human jobs as energy producers. In fact, many animal resources are used as a source of food and to fulfill various daily human needs.

Even though I am not an excessive animal lover, I do not agree that humans use these living creatures arbitrarily. Moreover, they have to injure or even kill these animals to meet human needs. Because animals also have the same rights as other living creatures to live comfortably and safely in the universe. Injuring or killing animals for human benefit is a very evil act that disrupts the natural ecosystem. What's more, these animals are truly wild animals that never bother humans and are protected animals and are threatened with extinction from their habitat.

The irony is that nowadays there are many people who are not responsible for the survival of protected and endangered animals. Not a few people use body parts from protected animals for various purposes, such as in the fashion industry, entertainment world and other consumer products. Using every organ of an animal's body for the fashion and entertainment industry is very contrary to the norms of life. These irresponsible human actions have resulted in many animal species starting to become extinct in the universe. Several animals such as elephants, tigers, several types of birds and other wild animals continue to be hunted for human benefit.

In my opinion, it is time for humans to stop using animal organs to make certain products. Because the more animal products that humans use, the more they accelerate the extinction of these animals in the universe, which can disrupt the ecosystem. Therefore, I strongly oppose and strongly disagree with the use of animal products in our daily needs. Because by buying or using any product from an animal, it means that we are contributing to accelerating the extinction of that animal.

However, there are some uses of animal organs that I don't think are detrimental, such as sheep's wool to make certain products. Because according to my knowledge, sheep's fur must be shaved when it is too thick so as not to harm the health of the sheep itself. However, if in the process of taking animal organs you have to hurt, let alone kill the animal, then I strongly disagree.

Personally there are many things you can do to contribute to protecting animals from exploitation. Not using animal products is a real action that I can take. Give understanding to your family or closest friends not to use this product. The government also has an important role by continuing to educate the public not to exploit protected wild animals. By providing severe punishments for perpetrators of animal exploitation crimes, it may be possible to raise awareness among the public not to damage natural ecosystems, hopefully in the future there will be no more poachers who will continue to hunt animals in nature for the benefit of humans.
