SEC-S14/W2 : My Favorite Pet

I am here once again participating in the SEC- S14/W2 in this great community. I am a pet love and would love to share my thoughts on this interesting topic.

What is your favorite pet? Give reason

---

Pets are so greatly loved animals which over a long period of time has become acquainted to series of verbal and non-verbal form of communication and as a result over time becomes part of our emotions and act according to our bidding.

My favorite pet on this note is "dogs". These creatures are special to me for various reasons. The dog is a special creature adopted overtime by man as let's due to lots of varying reasons which I would be sharing with us.

My reasons why I love dogs

Smartness

---

Dogs have the ability to showcase high level of smartness. They have a high intelligent quotient (IQ) which enables them understand basic commands given to them to learn. They are smart pets!

Fast Learners

---

It takes dogs very little or no time to learn basic commands taught. I remember when we bought our first dog Bryan about 3 years ago. It took at least 6 hours to learn his name and in less than. 2 weeks he learnt basic commands like seat, stand, run, stop.

Emotional Partners

---

Dogs understand body language, due to the fact that they have high emotional quotient too. They know when you are happy, sad, in a good state of mind. They are lovely emotional partner and woukd continually be special to me. I remember returning home from college back then, our dog kept wagging its tail in it's dance ceremony for me! Kissing my feet was the order of the day. It ended up sharing my dinner and sleeping in my space too. I love dogs so very much.

Security Guards

Dogs have be tested to be great security guards owing to their intelligence, high vision, high intuition and special sense of smell, thy can sense danger from a mile and alert it's owner. Dogs make it easier for the military to carry our operations easier and faster within the time being.

Presently, I do not have any dogs as per. Our dog died about 8 months back. I heard the sad news from college. It was a shock to me, I must say. Funny enough I cried too at that time but am over it now.

I am planning on getting a dog breed "German Shepherd" precisely next year. It is a plan I intend on making possible because dogs are emotional partners I live to have around me. I would take the dog home by rubbing it in its body touching the head softly. Rubbing it's ears then I'll wears it it's colar and then carry it as we walk home.

I intend on making sweet tunes and interesting sounds which would catch it's attention and make it happy. I'll make it acquainted to me, that's how I'll handle my new dog when I get one.

Dog Feeding:
Our dog Bryan was not a fan of his regular dog food. He would always enjoy he made good. Which interested me so much. We would prepare cassava flakes with groundnut, sugar and beef pieces that was his favorite food. He would usually wah his tail in appreciation after each sumptuous meal.

Dog Care:
We took the dog personal hygiene so seriously. We would bathe the dog twice weekly. We had special soaps, sponge, towel, anti-tick cream we applied in the dog to make the fur neat and shiny, it makes the dog pleasant and clean.

Dogs are special emotional partners and soul mates too special cases. They are smart and could run errands in extreme cases. They could spy on your enemies and raise alarm when need arises, saving you from your worries and making you happy while putting smiles on your faces.
