Animals macro-Photography || Oxyopes salticus
The air was still cool when I found an Oxyopes salticus hiding behind leaves that were still wet with dew. The sun had not yet fully shown its rays which were blocked by the trees.
This animal is almost invisible because of its small size and ability to camouflage itself in green leaves. Unlike other types of spiders, Oxyopes salticus is a type of spider with a small body and has a better ability to camouflage. This allows this animal to protect itself from predators.
This animal is also able to make traps by knitting spider webs to catch its prey. Small animals caught in the web will find it difficult to escape.
In another place, an Oxyopes salticus was seen hunting for prey. This animal was dragging a black ant to its nest. On the other side, a red ant was also pulling the black ant from a different direction.
I don't know exactly what this animal is doing. It seems like I was a few minutes too late to find out what really happened to these three animals.
I just guessed that the black ant was dead and there was a fight between Oxyopes salticus and the red ant. What is certain is that this scene looks very tense.
There are many types of spiders that we often find around us. However, Oxyopes salticus looks unique because of its smaller size. This animal is very easy for us to find, especially in leaves and bushes.
