INTRODUCTION

It feels good to be part of this contest in this animal loving community. Animals are part of the living things that gets our attention as human beings we are. We admire them and so we keep them very close to us most especially, those we rear as domestic animals.

Just as we humans can not survive wothout food, animals are on the same line of having themselves sustained by having food to eat. There are different kinds of food for animals that are given to them. Not all of them eat the same kind of food.
As required in this contest, I am here to present my pets and the food that I give to them.

RECIPE FOR PETS FOOD

THEIR MORNING FOOD
My pets are just three weeks old and they have started eating. During their first week, I introduced milk and pap to them. I also gave them biscuits that I disolved in water. These are some light food I give to them at this tender age.

Currently, they are three weeks and have added some days on it. As they are now three weeks and some days, I have started introducing solid foods to them.

In the morning, I gave them pap mixed with milk. Immediately they were given birth to, I gave the mother pap so as to make her have a enough breast milk to feed the puppies.

THEIR AFTERNOON FOOD

In the afternoon, I am giving them a solid food. Carbohydrate is one of the solid food that I give to them. At the age of three weeks plus some days, they have started taking garri which is known as one of the best sources of carbohydrate. I mixed it with soup because it can not be eaten just that way. The soup will make the meal to have a sweet taste that makes them to eat more of it.

THEIR NIGHT FOOD

In the night, I would giving be giving them beans cake together with pap as their dinner. The pupies are still tender and so does not need regular solid food. The mother woild be given her own food differently. She is only allowed to be with the pupies whe it is time for her to breast feed them.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH FEEDING PETS

My dogs eat most of the food that eat. Some other Pets could be selective in their foods. For instance, my dogs eat rice, yam beans, fried egg, pap and noodles. When they are extremely hungry, they could go violent so for this reason, I do not allow them to go hungry to that extent. As I eat, I make sure that there is food for them.

HOW I CARE FOR MY PETS AND THEIR DIETS

Pets do.really need to be taken care of. From proper feeding, treatment against diseases, to keeping them neat. All these are necessary to keep them healthy.

In terms treatment, I vaccinate them every three months agains infections and other diseases that may make the to fall ill. I have a friend who is veterinary doctor. I call him to examine the health status of my pets and then makes recomendations if he finds any trace of ailment.

On the side of feeding, like I just said, they eat most of the food that I eat. They eat rice, yam, garri and soup, eggs, meat, and they even drink tea. Since they eat these kind of food, it reduces the stress encountere when sourcing for special food.

Whenever I would not be around, I give them solid food like garri and soup. This would sustain or last for some time till I come back from wherever I have gone to. When I come back from work, I may also dexide to give them a solid food because of the energy that they may have lost when I am not around.
