It’s with deep sense of love and loss that I write this having gone through the post made my mum @patjewell.

You could simply see the love that have existed between Lushka and the wonderful people whom he has been a part of their lives for fifteen years.

Fifteen years is no small number. Imagine having a child who was born and is nurtured for fifteen years only to be lost to the cold hands of death. This is just similar to the pain you feel.

One may argue that it’s not the same. Though you may be right but the pain still feels similar because somehow I’ve come to know that there is just this wonderful bond that tends to develop between a pet and the owners over the years that somehow it begins to feel like they are actually one of the children and real members of the family.

These animals actually have affections and When they are around you, you literally feel their presence and impact and also when they are not, you miss them. Because over the years, a bond has been created and it feels like home.

I don’t have a pet but I’ve been around my friend who had a pet, a dog actually just like Lushka. I stayed with them a couple of days and I saw how the dog had become a part of their family. This couple hasn’t given birth to a child, their beautiful white dog was all they had.

I could see the love and care and the bond the dog shared with them. The dog was everywhere. It stays with them in the living room watching TV and playing all over the place. When we go out and come back, it comes out and jumps all over them. It enters their bedroom and sleeps on their bed.

I didn’t understand all of these the first two days I stayed with them. I have a little phobia for dogs and I don’t know how to play with them. Initially I was scared and wouldn’t want the dog to be around me. But as the days progressed, I started getting used to the dog been around and playing around me and I actually began to settle in.

I stayed with them for a week and by the time I was leaving, I was already used to having the dog come to me, I will touch the body and play with it and it was so lovely. Even though I was still skeptical anytime it wants to lick my face. I would scream and be like ewww. Hahaha.

All of this is just to buttress my story, if I could grow such a lovely bond with their lovely pet in a period of one week, how much more for a pet one has lived with for a period of fifteen years. Does that ring a bell?

Just early this year, I got talking with my friend and and we talked for along time and then from nowhere I popped the question, asking her about the beautiful white dog, I can’t remember her name and my friend went cold.

I was startled and then she began to tell me that the dog died. I was startled and I asked her how, where?, why?

She said they took her to the vet to give her some treatment and the vet doctor wasn’t careful and the dog contracted a sickness. She began to bleed and spot everywhere around the house and they tried treating her but the dog died.

She said they were devastated and in her own words she said her husband cried. It felt like they’ve lost a member of their family.

When she told me this sad development, I felt very bad. I could just feel the sadness and loss for a pet I just met for a week. Does this paint the picture of the pain they owners of Lushka might have passed through.

I share in your loss ma’am and if all dogs go to heaven, I’d say cheer up cos one day, we would see Lushka again. Thanks for all the love you people showed towards it during the last days and sure she super proud to have you people as a family. Lushka you will be missed indeed.

Rest on, we love you.

Thank you for coming down with me on this journey. I invite my friends @ruthjoe, @jovita30 and @ninapenda to participate in this contest.

¡Holaaa amigo!🤗

What you are saying is also correct because those people who do not raise animals are afraid that they should not be cut, that they should not be allowed to do anything, that they should not make the house dirty, but this does not happen because people who They keep the animals, they are teaching them everything and they love them so much that we get the color they put them in and it's very nice of them. You have created very good posts with great detail, thank you for this post and I wish you best luck for the competition.

Thank you for your beautiful words! Gosh, it looks like I can just not stop crying.
At least these days, they are good tears. We were so blessed that she lived for so long and that it all happened so quickly. She didn't suffer for long.

Oh yes! One day, we will be reunited.

🐾Let them live in our memories forever
