Animals?

Ever wondered what our existence would be like without them?

I personally feel animals are a beautiful part of nature supremely woven into our existence by a superior wisdom all for the sake of balance.

Looking around and seeing there’s no just one type of physical creature to behold always and having a seeming distraction yet lovely and keeping you wondering is a good touch on our soul.

Sometimes when I see animals, I just pause for a while and watch them. I wonder if they have emotions, I know they do but I wonder at how they process emotions and possibly try to show it.

I know they are a lower class of creation and somehow as if they are at our mercy and care of humans for the domesticated ones because the wild definitely are on a class of their own.

I wonder do they reason, think, worry, get anxious like we do and all. I just look at them casually littered around the vicinity as I go about my daily activities.

That’s was how I was observing a group of them somewhere in town and took a photo of them. They were peaceful feeding on the green grass oblivious of the happenings and simply enjoying the sweetness of the belly calls.

I stood watching as they diligently chewed away. From the pictures, did you notice a mutual existence of two varying species of animals. Did you wonder what the egrets were doing among feeding goats and ram?

I was taught in biology about the different kinds of feeding and we learnt about symbiosis which is a type of feeding where one animals feed off others without hurting them.

This is as opposed to parasitic feeding. I think that’s what’s playing out here else what were the birds doing in the picture. So the birds simply feed off the body of the rams and goats by removing bugs from them which may be harmful to them while they feed and also look around for some insects to gnaw on.

The goats and rams do not even chase them away but they cohabit freely all in one environment. It’s like live and let live which is a win win situation for all.

Looking at his beautiful pictures, I feel humans have a lot to learn from animals indeed just like the holy Bible also enjoined us to go to the ants and learn from them.
This simply points to the fact that these animals are a beautiful part of our existence and should be well looked out for.

Thank you for coming down this lane with me. I ask @ruthjoe, @ninapenda and @jovita30, @ngozi996 to drop their thoughts on this challenge.
