The director of the horror "Frankenstein's Army" Richard Raphorst accused Capcom of copying one of the monsters of his film for a boss battle in Resident Evil Village.
In "Frankenstein's Army", you can see a monster that is a humanoid with an engine and a propeller instead of a head. The characters of the film cut his fuel pipes, from which he catches fire and explodes.

The battle with the same humanoid is also in Resident Evil Village. The boss is called Storm, and the action takes place in the Heisenberg factory. Unlike in the movie, players need to go to the monster in the back and shoot at the heat-dissipating fan, so that the boss also catches fire and explodes.

In an interview with Eurogamer, Raphorst stated that this is a one-to-one copy. According to the director, the authors of the game even copied the environment and color palette.
Raphorst said that Capcom did not contact him and that he learned about the similarity from fans on the day of the release of Resident Evil Village.

Raphorst said that he does not expect to receive money from Capcom, as the rights to the film belong to the film company MPI Media Group. However, the director wants to get recognition in the form of his name in the game's credits.
