The 70th match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 was held yesterday, in which Sunrise Hyderabad and Punjab Kings faced each other, in which Punjab Kings won by 5 wickets.
Sunrise Hyderabad captain Bhubaneswar Kumar won the toss and elected to bat first. Sunrise Hyderabad scored 157 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Abhishek Sharma is the highest run scorer among Sunrise Hyderabad's batsmen with 43 off 32 balls, he has scored five fours and two sixes, Romario Sephard 26 off 15 balls, Washington Sundar 25 off 19 balls and Aiden Markram 21 off 17 balls. And Rahul Tripathi scored 20 off 18 balls, and no batsman could meet the double-digit quota, 12 runs from extra.
MAmong the Punjab Kings bowlers, Harpreet Brar took 3 for 26 off 4 overs, Nathan Illis took 3 for 40 off 4 overs, and Kagiso Rabada took 1 for 38 off 4 overs, with no bowler taking wickets.
Playing at the target of 158 runs, Punjab Kings reached the target by losing 5 wickets in 15.1 overs, as a result they won by 5 wickets.
Among the Punjab Kings batsmen, Liam Livingston top-scored with 49 off 22 balls, followed by Shikhar Dhawan (39 off 32 balls), Johnny Brystowe (23 off 15 balls), Shah Rukh Khan (19 off 10 balls) and Jitesh Sharma (19 off 7 balls). 6runs comes from extra.
Sunrise Hyderabad bowlers Fazal Haque Farooqi took 2 wickets for 32 runs off 4 overs, Washington Sundar 2 overs 19 runs for 1 wicket, Jagadisa Suchith 4 overs 38 runs for 1 wicket, and Umran Malik 1 wicket for 24 runs off 2.1 overs.
