[Mobile Game] Love Live! School Idol Project (Android & iOS)
Love Live! School Idol Project is a 3-in-one collectable card game, rhythm game, and visual novel developed by KLab and published by Bushiroad for Android and iOS devices.
In terms of HIGH QUALITY Free to Play games without ANY needs to spend money, Love Live! School Idol Project is probably one of, if not the best games out there. I rate it 10/10 - read on to understand why!
Here is a breakdown of the homescreen:
- Friends: Where you can see all of your friends
- What’s New: Patch Notes, Announcements, etc
- Present Box: Your “Inbox”
- Home
- Story: the “novel” section of the game. Play songs to unlock more stories!
- Members: Your roster of characters / teams
- Live Show: Where you play songs!
- Events: Where you can access events
- Shop: Where you can purchase love gems, and special packages
- Scout: Where you can “summon” characters

In Love Live! School Idol Project, the primary currency you will be using / dealing with the most are called “Love Gems,” which is the game’s premium currency. Luckily, the game has many opportunities for players to earn them - namely:
- Album Rewards: By completing tasks, such as maxing out your “friendship” with your team members (characters)
- Songs: By playing “B-side” songs on all difficulties (Easy, Normal and Hard, not expert songs) you can earn 1 Love gem
- Events
- Daily Log-In
- Log-in Campaigns: Sometimes there are special login campaign
- Birthdays: Each year, on a characters birthday, Five Love gems are given to the player for Log In.
Unlike other games, Love Live! School Idol Project’s currency is not inflated so you can fill up your energy bar with 1 gem, which is the equivalent to $0.99 USD. You can use Love Gems to:
- Restore Energy
- “Scout” Characters (Summon)
With that being said, here are the Pros and Cons that I find important:
Pros
- Absolutely FREE to play - no ads at all!
- Many opportunities to scout 11 characters for free
- Many fun, enjoyable songs to play
- New content / events every week
- Many ways to earn premium currency
Cons
- Honestly… I can’t think of any!
