Thediarygame for 01/01/2024: First Day of the Year

Good day friends and colleagues......
Once again on the diary game let me narrate the story of how the very first day of 2024 went.
Like every other Nigerian going to church for the cross over is always eminent coming back from the crossover I laid down my head to catch some sleep because I have been up all night

MORNING

I couldn't sleep, woke up hungry, I then decided to get breakfast for my self, unfortunately for me they was no leftover also, I had to prepare my meal. I went to get foodstuffs and saw this big hen inside a cage and I wanted to buy one to prepare. I went to the vendor to ask the price and she said ₦11,000 for the biggest and ₦8,000 for the smallest. I was so shocked. This same fowl that was ₦4,000 last year! Wow, things have really changed, that is how my chicken cravings died.
I walked on and purchased some food stuff from the market came back and I prepared rice and egg stew as quick as possible due to the undying hunger.

After eating I decided to continue my nap, but this time my eyelids denied me of sleep, I laid in bed wandering from one end to the other until I picked up my phone going through a list of movies, picked one and got into it, on reaching the end my favorite character was killed, It was heart touching couldn't bear it so I stop, ate the leftover from what remained in the morning, laid down again, and I was swept off guard by the doze of sleep.
In my slept I had a very pleasant dream where I was very rich and powerful, helping the poor and downtrodden.

EVENING

By the time I woke up, I was behind time for church, hurriedly prepared and headed for church.
At this point my day was nearly concluded just for the fact that two things remained undone; one of which is my dinner, I had just nine hundred with me so I got up purchased some noodles prepared and ate to my satisfaction, really today was a blessed day, what a nice way to start the year.
On my way back I saw this car that had an accident by detailing from the road. Luckily no one was hurt and I thanked God for that.
Then the last thing I had to do was coming back to my audience and my steemit family
