Childhood is an era of amazement and fantasy. An era when the planet is overflowing with opportunities, prospects, potentials and everything is fresh and thrilling. For me, my childhood was a time of having fun with peers, acquiring knowledge about new things, and uncovering the world surrounding me. I grew up in a little yet big and not so know area. I remember exploring the woods near my house, collecting sticks, fruits and leaves to play with, I remember acting out various characters we see in movies, acting out our own imaginary characters, playing games like doctors and patients, parents and children, traders and the rest of them.
Special shoutout to @drhira for organising this contest on childhood dreams.

I also remember learning to read, write, and do math,I didn't go to a very big school most of the learning I did on my own and I also had the opportunity to teach little kids and even kids my age Came to me to help them out with assignments and other school works, I was smart so learning new things wasn't so hard for me. When I was very little I remember having to move from my old school because my parents had to move out of that town and I and my older siblings had to stay back at home for a year before we could start schooling but this wasn't a hindrance to us we rather made good grades, the excitement of starting a new school wasn't there but having to make new friends really got me excited, and

I remember all the birthday parties, having to dance to win prices, eat as fast as you can to win prices and going home with alot of toys to play with. I loved the holidays, and special occasions that made my childhood so special. Having dreams of being alot of things which changed over time were what made my childhood thrilling.
WHAT I WANTED TO BECOME IN FUTURE AS A CHILD

As a child I had various dreams which changed as I grew older. I remember dreaming of becoming a professor this was because I loved to read, write and teach younger ones and peers, I wanted to teach people when I grew up at least I thought I did but this dream vanished when I grew a little older.
I wanted to become a banker when I grew a bit older because I liked money and maths wasn't so hard to me then but when I grew older I found maths harder and this dream of becoming a banker died and was swept like dust.

Then I wanted to become a business guru, this dream also died because I grew and hated maths so much, I found maths so difficult and wanted to get far away from it and anything that's close to it. And then the dreams I grew a lot older with were becoming a lawyer and becoming an artist, I wanted to become an artist because I loved drawing and the dream of becoming a lawyer was put in me by my father because he wanted me to do a much professional course than becoming an artist.
HAVE I ACHIEVED MY DREAM OR HAS THAT DREAM CHANGED?

Well I didn't get to achieve any of these dreams because along the line as I grew older my interest for those dreams where lost or should I say I couldn't have those dreams anymore because I didn't find any of them interesting or in line with what I want now. I didn't get to achieve my childhood dreams of becoming a banker, a professor, a business guru, or a lawyer because I couldn't dream of becoming any of that any more.

WHAT DREAMS DO I HAVE NOW?

Well I didn't stop dreaming about being an artist even though I'm unable to study it in school because my dad wants me to do a professional course. I've always love drawing, whenever I'm sad and I draw I feel light and better, I can express myself through my drawings and I can feel myself whenever I draw, this dream is still alive, I still have that dream and I know I'll achieve it some day. And also I have a dream of becoming a model and owning an empire of my own which I'm working on already.

CONCLUSION

Finally, everyone has a childhood dream, some achieved those dreams, some are working towards achieving those dreams, others lost those dreams along the way for some reasons and some are yet to have any dream. Always have a dream, dreaming helps you work towards a goal and the more you dream the more goals you intend to achieve and this keeps your mind at work. Never stop dreaming no matter how hard it may be to achieve those dreams, you can change those dreams but never ever stop dreaming.

It's ok to dream, even though not all may come true our dreams tend to evolve as we grow and as we tend to understand life better but all the same it's advisable to keep pushing and never give up.

Dreams and aspirations are not illegal and it's ok to have visions even though they may change as we grow and get exposed but the dreams and visions for greatness is what keeps us going
