" The virtue of obedience."
What is your understanding of the term obedience?
Obedience is the simple act of carrying out a command; to comply and abide by the rules given to a person concerning a particular thing.
In the journey of life, who should obey and why?
Kids should obey their parents. Wives should obey their husbands, and vice versa. Those under authority should also obey their leaders. As long as you are depending on someone, or looking up to someone for some sort of help, you should obey.
Do you think it is proper to be obedient at all times. Give reason why or why not?
It depends on the situation at hand. Some obedience could lead to something tragic. Which means a person must be able to discern when it is right and needful to obey, and when it is not.
Obedience is unarguably a good thing, but obedience at all times could bring about abuse.
So it's proper to obey at all times when you trust someone and you know you won't regret it. Anything other than this is out of obedience. It could be foolishness.
Give a brief illustration where someone is expected to disobey.
An instance where someone is compelled to do what he/she isn't comfortable with, is a good one.
People know what's good and bad, if they see and feel that what they're planning to do is bad, they should disobey the person who wants them to do that thing.
From the moment a person begins to think in a wrong direction, he already knows it's wrong, and shouldn't go on with that plan.
Have you ever disobeyed someone before? How will you feel if someone disobey you?
Yes, I have. But it was for my own good. If someone disobeys me when it's actually something worthy, I'd feel bad and disrespected. But if the person has a good reason for disobeying, I think there's nothing to feel bad about.
Conclusion
People make mistakes, so while you're careful not to disobey, be sure that your reasons his water. And remember, obedience to a good advice and person pays.
