Help The Kids To Develop Their Creativity…Create Something From Nothing: Explore More…Beads Making…
Hello fellow steemians. Hope we all are doing great. Been a while I posted here. Was really hooked up with other
activities at school. I want to thank @m-fdo for organising this beautiful contest. Crafts are beautiful things made
through the efforts of people. I like crafts a lot.
And it has become so important that it has been included in school
curriculums to teach the students at the school. In most of the higher institutions in Nigeria, it is called Entrepreneurial Studies where students go to different workshops to learn how to create things with their hands.
The young producer and entrepreneur
Because of school and other engagements, I’ve not really had time to make crafts myself. But I was glad to see my
friend and sister, make beautiful crafts from beads just of recent. As I was coming back from school yesterday, I decided to stop by to visit @coolj2, and the kids. I got a warm welcome from all of them, and without wasting time, the girl dragged me joyfully to see what she and her brothers had made. Gladly, I joined her to see what she was cooking up the whole day. She offered me a seat in their living room and rushed in to her room to get her crafts. I was eager to see it as well.
The creative minds and I
On her return, I found out the girl had made some beautiful necklaces, bangles, and even rings, all with beads. I was so glad she was able to do those things. she began explaining how she made those things, and where her mother, @coolj2, came in to help her.
Creative minds
She spoke of the materials she used in making the crafts and how she was able to come up with the styles she had.
For one of the necklaces, she selected the bigger ones that looked like a pendant, put them together and tied it twice, to have the shape of a flower; that was so creative. I didn’t expect that from her. From explaining everything to me in details, she asked if I could try them on. I did. She directed me to try the one that were my size, so I didn’t have difficulties while selecting and trying them on.
After the whole marketing and advertising stuff by our little girl, I asked what motivated her to make those crafts. She replied by saying she wanted to try something new, besides she didn’t want the beads to go to waste since they werefrom her mom’s old jeweleries, she had to recycle them.
The beads
I was already impressed with her. When aske what she’d be doing with the beads, she said, she’d like to sell them. She’s hoping to partner with her mother to do business whenever the time is due. For now, she was preparing ahead of time. She went further by asking me to patronise her.

In this case, the kid was the one inspiring me. In as much as she was developing her skill, I learned to also make time to create things myself no matter how busy I am.
One of the bangles
In conclusion, she was able to display a sense of entrepreneurship, creativity, opportunities and craftsmanship. I could
see the beams of smiles on her mum’s face. She is already bringing up stars. This way, children will be able to learn at a young age and start monetizing what they’ve learnt so far at the right age.
Thanks for reading through.
I’d like to invite @okere-blessing, @bela90 and @solperez to participate in this contest.
