Weekly drawing challenge||Draw a lizard || Week 12
Greatings to all the kids and the kids lovers in the house. Today is another week for the drawing challenge and I'm glad to be part of the weekly drawing, in this week were asked to draw lizard. Thank you @steemkidss and @eliany for organizing this contest.
lizard are scaly-skinned reptiles that are distinguished from Snake because they have small head, legs,short neck,two eyes, external ears opening and they have moveable eyelids. Lizard are the most coolest reptiles in the world and they are in different sizes, and colors. They have long tails which help them to shed in order to escape from there predators. The Komodo dragon lizard is the largest in the world and it has a scary-looking, while the jaragua lizard is the smallest in the world. You can differentiate the male and the female lizard through there body structure, the male lizard are bigger than the female lizard, the female lizard are small and they always like chasing each other. Most of the lizard feeds on the plants and insects, and you can see them on trees, walls and even water.
The lizard occupy many habitats which can be underground, surface and elevated vegetation.some of the lizard moves slowly and rely on crptic coloration for protection while others moves faster and Swifty across the desert sands.and they are known for eating large number of insects particularly in the desert.
Lizards have many qualities among which are;
- lizard have color vision
- they have kinetic Skull and they can ditched their tails
- they have moveable eyelids
- Lizard have breast bone that protects the heart and the lungs
- They are cold blooded reptiles and most of the lizard can swim
- The Geckos lizard have microscopic hair on their feet
Yes I have seen lizard before. On daily basis I see them around our compound and in the forest areas. I even made an attempt to snap one today for the sake of this contest, but they ran away because lizard don't seems to be free or friendly around human.
Lizard are important to men in several ways, among which are;
- Lizard are source of food
- lizard are agent of pest,they are used in the farm to eat all the pest in the farm and at home.
- lizard skins are used as consumers items
- They also make us of the lizard as medicine in some part of the world.
Materials used are;
- Pencils
- eraser
- Plan paper (A4)
step1: I drew the head of the lizard first.
step2: I drew the body and the tail of the lizard.
step3: Now I drew the front legs
step4: I drew the back legs
step5: I drew the the two eye's of the lizard
step6: lastly I shaded some parts of the lizard then I coloured it.
