""Steemit Engagement Challenge S3-W1: My dreams in childhood by @yakspeace""

Hello beautiful kidss and kids lovers of this Noble community, i hope we all had a great and wonderful week. It's another season for the steemit engagement challenge contest, and I'm so glad to be part of this beautiful engagement challenge contest organized by the steemit blog. Last season was very impactful and i most say that, i really learned and interacted with different users. Today i will be taking part in this very contest organized by the @steemkidss community on the topic, my dreams in childhood.

While growing up as child a lot of things usually go through our heads due to curiosity of ambitions so many times we get confused about what we really want to become in life when we grow older. Well as for me,I always had a dream of becoming a medical doctor and a chef. I have interest of becoming a medical doctor because, I got to know about the profession from my mother, I always admired her work when I visit her at the hospital, also I always have this passion of helping the people and to save the life's of those sick ones in the hospital, but it's unfortunate that I was not able to archived my dream of becoming a medical doctor.

After my secondary school I applied for medicine at University of maduguri but admission was not given to me that year, then I still re-write another jamb in 2012, applied the same course but when it was time for the aptitude test at the university, that was the same year Boko Haram attacks the land so my parents asked me not to go.I was not happy at all but I hard no option than to listen to my parents. While I was still at home waiting for another jamb, my mum now enroll me in one year pre-degree program at Taraba State University, as at then the school was still a baby university, and they don't have medical courses, so i applied another course instead of my dream course and i was given an admission to study computer science.

Another dream I had while I was a child was to become a chef, I developed that interest of becoming a chef when I started watching cooking computation on NTA, television. They way the cook and arrange their meal always got my attention and I don't miss any of the cooking program which was scheduled every Saturday by 6:00pm. So After my school, i was still having the interest of becoming a chef so my mom enrolled me into catering school where i learned how to bake and cook. Presently I'm doing my NYSC program so to actualize my dreams of becoming a chef, I applied for Chef institute and luckily for me i was admitted and I'm done with my training. I'm so happy that this dream of my came to pass.

My parents always gives me the full support I ever wanted as a child, they never forced me to do things that will not be helpful in life. But everything was beyond them, the land was becoming something else so no parents will allow his or her own child to go and die because of studies. But as for other dreams, my mum was the one who registered it for me as I mentioned earlier.

Among the dreams I listed above, I was able to achieve one even though I'm left with just a week to become a chef. But I have already done my training on baking, so I'm satisfied baker and I'm glad that I was able to archive this dream of mine.

As life became more interesting and harsh at the same time most of us never got the opportunity to actually become what we have always dreamt of, after being into many schools from nursery to secondary level i have wished to become a professional medical doctor but with so many trials and challenges I was not granted the privilege to study medicine which made me feel so sad and very disappointed, the issue of Boko Haram terrorism was because so rampart by the day and the land was not too safe for me to live my state to another state for studies.

In Conclusion, I'm so glad that i was able to archive one of my dreams, as for the one i was not able to archived I know God definitely have greater plans for me because sometimes our ways are not his ways and our thoughts are actually different from his, but one thing i know is that he always one the best for me and I'm very happy that i studied computer science.
