It's week 3 of the engagement challenge contest already and here we are with a lovely topic from the community on the titled, “Discipline".
How do you view discipline?

To me, I can say discipline is a measure or guide put in place to correct one's attitude, or disobedience. It can also be seen as an act of obeying a set rule using the punishment methods to correct someone from making mistakes in life
Discipline is an important tool in one's life to maintain good behavior, learning to effectively guide oneself and others in the right direction.
Have you been disciplined before or have you ever disciplined someone?

Ooh yes I have been disciplined before by my mother, I grow up in an environment where my mum don't allow us to go out and hang out with friends she always forced me to study my books at all times, after school while other children are playing outside I will be in my room studying. Seriously it was not easy for me at then but when I get used to it it's become part of me.
When the assignment is given to me at school, she will make sure that I do the assignment by myself after teaching me one out of it, if I don't get the answers correctly that night I won't sleep until I get it right.
Seriously growing up with the idea of me studying my books always makes me strict, I don't go out to play with friends even if I'm not studying my books I must be at home except I'm going to church or school. The discipline helped me when I was at my University. At the moment one to talk to me again but that discipline that my mum came me became part of me. And it's helped me to study well.
Do you consider discipline as love or hatred despite how it is given?

Well, to me I see discipline as love because it helps to mold our ways and character. For someone to take his time to discipline us that means the person truly loves us and want the best for us. Sometimes you begin to realize what life truly is and how you can be safe living in it.
Corrective discipline given by my mum about my studies helped me but then I was thinking it was hatred from my mum, based on the fact that she had to bully, scold, and some other actions taken by her to ensure I get disciplined. I never regret the discipline from my Mum because it makes me who I am today.

To me, discipline is very much beneficial to kids. Kids without discipline find it hard to grow into happy adults. They tend to do things just the way they feel even when it's wrong, like the self-control measure is not put in place to achieve a desired goal.
Kids with good discipline possess that quality of standing out among pairs where ever and however, they find themselves. The best time to discipline someone is the person is young so that when the child grows up he will not depart from it.
Your personal advice to those who give discipline and to those who receive it.

To all disciplinarians, I would say to them not to do it the hard way. Some people take disciplining their child as a do-or-die thing. It should not reach the level that your child becomes fearful of your presence at home.
To those who are disciplined or should I say those who receive it. Discipline is not hatred it's love, discipline allows you to be more focused, so if you are disciplined today never feel sad. Accept the correction and be happy living with it.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I will say that discipline is an essential tool for us to understand between good or bad, right and wrong, and ugly and beautiful. It is an ultimate way of encouraging us to learn to achieve certain goals and aims.

Discipline has to be a core value that has to be instilled in us from our seniors from an early age, and this responsibility falls to our parents and elder siblings to direct us on the right things to do.
So when we are disciplined, we should accept it as a sign of love and in good faith to guide our path. Thank you and Good luck my friend.

Desde pequeños debemos aprender a ser disciplinados porque, esto nos permitirá desarrollarnos como personas que están dispuestas a adquirir compromisos que nos permitirán avanzar fluidamente durante el transcurso de la vida.
Ahora bien, en la etapa adulta también debemos reforzar este hábito porque, a medida de que vamos creciendo, muchas reglad cambian y adaptarnos a ellas es nuestro deber.
