Hello steem kids and parents, I welcome all users of this platform to my blog as I participate in this week's entry for the week under review. It is all about freedom and freedom. We at different points must have enjoyed the freedom and also at a different time be denied it in the same vein. This may either be in our growing up and as well in our youthful moments. Let's get started, friends...

Freedom in my own understanding is the access to certain privileges that are ordinarily not common to everyone or being allowed to enjoy some moments be it either outdoor or indoor activity. Freedom as an adult is totally different from that which is expected of a kid. As a parent, there is more freedom and privileges that are enjoyed which may not be obtainable for children.

As a kid, we are guided and directed on how to operate as beings and are given the discipline or culture in place. As adults, we have the totally to enjoy the freedom as e want so far it does not interrupt the freedom of another. The freedom to make choices is one we have continued to enjoy as we can carry out our eligible acts, needs, and speeches without being gauged.

One thing we must know is that our freedom is in place when we are expressly expressive without the feeling of any compromise or enslavement. When we are in an environment where we cannot express ourselves freely, we have to quickly check out our freedom status. Anyone could be found in this category, be it a kid or an adult. We all have our comprise or temporary enslavement moments.

It is our obligation to grant freedom to kids relative to their ages and space of understanding of the present reality on the ground. Despite the fact that they need freedom it should not be abused to avoid corrupting them earlier than required. They do not need to be corrupted and abused just because they need to be free and expressive.

They are obligated to receive those basic and fundamental freedom lines like their speech, being expressive in their acts without acts of inferiority or naivety. However, more freedom should be earned by kids through their parents. The behavior of our kids should be able to be a major determinant of how much we could allow freedom to the kids.

Their ages also should come with the amount of freedom available to them. This would also determine the kind of exposure they should get relative to the adults within them. Not every scene should be available to them or to be allowed for views. This is also the same with the social media exposure they are allowed to participate in.

Just like every other thing with merits and demerits, so is freedom. It comes with a lot of advantages to us adults and as well to the kids but we should not forget about the disadvantages and harm this may also cause us or them.

Advantages

• Freedom tends to give voice to the voiceless and right to an expressive moment at all times.
• We could be able to make our own right decisions and contribute meaningfully because of the chance of being heard.
• Freedom could also allow me to become who I want for myself without necessarily having to please the next place to pretend to be who we are not.
• I also feel it brings about happiness and fulfillment which is another attribute of a better life.
• Allowing for freedom to all concerns gives this feeling of being accommodating and void of discrimination.

Disadvantages

• When abused can lead to bad manners and a poor way of life. This is due to the presumed or supposed better way of life when it is actually a pattern earned from an unguided freedom
• Due to the right of expression and speech this comes with, when not heard due to this entitlement, may lead to violence from emotional outbursts.
• There may be clashes and interruptions of other's freedom space in a bid to earn or gallantly express ours. And this may likely not go down well.
• In a bid to earn and express our freedom of speech, assembly, and protest as the case may be, we may likely attract more external abuses to ourselves from individuals and the government.

Earning freedom is one and losing it is also another. It is imperative to know that we all need freedom at some point if not all in our lives. Kids are liable to lose part of the freedom given to them when they put up bad behaviors or manners unlikely of their age or moments. When there are tendencies of perceived abuse due to the freedom or exposure gotten, it is likely that it should be withdrawn to allow for corrections and reset.

For adults, we may also see freedom lost when criminality is the case. Moments where emotions are let loose and violent acts taken to the extent there are arrests made, there is likely going to be a loss of freedom. Lose of freedom primarily hinges on the disadvantages of freedom already listed above.

Freedom is necessary just as listed in my advantages above. They are avenues to allow one to express themselves freely, be the person they want to be, and act in a manner that suits them. It is that moment that allows everyone to be entitled or take ownership of their destinies.

It gives voice to all concerned, allows for greater participation and decision-making, and as well as a sense of belonging that is void of any acts of discrimination. The joy and happiness derived from being expressive brings about fulfillment and a better living aura.

Freedom is that symbol that gives a better understanding of the adage "Live and Let's Live". It allows everyone to have a say as far as no one's freedom is infringed on. Everyone needs freedom to freely exist without living a second life.
