Which One Do I Prefer: Contract Marriage or Marriage For Life || 19-05-2023

"For better and for worse til death do us part"; this is most common statement made by couple while saying their marital vows in the church. Some couples just say because they were told to but they fail to know the deep meaning of that statement. In my understanding, "For better and for worse" means that the couple are to stay or remain faithful to the marriage whether they are rich or poor. No matter the situation in their marital life, they are expect not to break the promise they made to each other. The only exception whereby the vow can be broken is when either of the couple die.

I prefer marriage for life. Contract marriage is good because it is born out of a business deal. The endpoint of it is profit. But, the marriage for life is a marriage which is born fron true emotions and feeling of the two parties involved. Marriage for life can create chances to create offsprings which is the bedrock of marriage. Contract marriage last for a period of time, hence it is an unhealthy relationship. But, marriage for life is a healthy and long lasting relationship that cab stand a test of time. Indeed, marriage for life is a recommended relationship matured minds can go into.

In my point of view, house chores should not be a role that is attached to a particular gender. The reason is very clear. A particular gender wasn't born a slave and the other a noble. But, we were brought into this world in an equal way. In African society of yesterday, a man was known to be a lord, so even a young boy is not expected to be involved in any house chores. The responsibilities fell squarely on the shoulder of a woman. But, thanks to civilization which makes us understand the value of gender equality. So, this practice is now a thing of the past as boys and girls contribute to the achievement of house chores in the house. I think that this practice of gender equality should be upheld.

I am honored to be called a marriage specialist and it's high time of youth need to know. They needs to know the dos and don't marriage have. I am delighted to give out marriage tips our youths need to know.

• Youths needs to have more information of their partner background. This factor needs to be considered else divorce will be rampant in the society.
• Don't marry anyone out of sympathy because their marriage don't work out.
• The in-laws involved must be acquainted with each other else misunderstanding and divorce will set in.
