Forgiveness is the act of letting go, it means to stop being angry or offended by someone's actions towards you even though it was wrong. Forgiveness is very essential in our daily lives especially if the person who wronged us is a family member, friend or loved ones.

Forgiveness is a conscious decision to let go of feelings of resentment, anger, or vengeance towards someone who has wronged you. It involves releasing the desire for revenge and choosing to extend compassion, empathy, and understanding towards the person who caused the harm. Forgiveness does not necessarily mean condoning or excusing the other person's actions, nor does it require reconciliation or forgetting the offense. Instead, forgiveness is a personal process that brings healing and liberation, allowing individuals to move forward with their lives free from the burden of carrying grudges or bitterness.

Therefore, we will dive into the importance of forgiveness in the family. It is mandatory we forgive ourselves as a family in other to foster unity, peace, connection and as well as achieve a common goal. Here are some of the importance of importance of forgiveness:
1.Forgiveness is a powerful instrument for personal and relational growth. By acknowledging and addressing conflicts with humility and compassion, family members can cultivate a deeper understanding of themselves and each other. Through the act of forgiveness, we get to go on a journey of self-reflection and self examining ourselves, gaining insights into our own vulnerabilities and shortcomings. This process fosters understanding and nurturing a culture of accepting and tolerating ourselves within the family.
- Forgiveness strengthens the bonds of kinship, fortifying the foundation upon which inherited relationships are built. When we extend forgiveness to one another in a family, we demonstrate our commitment to the well-being of the family members. This act often cultivates an environment of trust and safety, in which family members feel valued, respected, and supported.

- The act or process of forgiving a person is not always easy. It requires courage, humility, and a willingness to let go of the past. Sometimes, one have to confront painful emotions and engaging in difficult conversations but you wouldn't like to do. By embracing forgiveness, families can surpass conflict and division, fostering an atmosphere of love, acceptance, and mutual respect.
- Forgiveness also preserves family legacy across generations. Family members will teach and grow in the legacy that the family is know for peace, love, understanding and unity and the also create good opportunities for the family and the generation to come as well.

Everyone need to forgive, forgiveness is a kind of mandatory law that when we consider it we makes ourselves happy. The importance of forgiveness is much enough reasons for us to consider it as a virtue. We forgive people we save our hearts from getting attack, we prevent ourselves from depression and distress and we stay in peace with our family, our friends and our neighbors.
