THE FORM OF CHILD ABUSE PREVALENT IN MY LOCALITY BY @vickydear

What Is Child Abuse

Child Abuse can be refers to as any intentional maltreatment or harm to a child under the age of 18years.it is any emotional, sexual or physical neglect of a child.its happen when a person caring for a child hurts the child feeling or his /her body.
It can happen to a boy or girl in the family, being aware of the dangers of child Abuse and what to do is the key to keeping all our children safe.

FORMS OF CHILD ABUSE THAT IS PREVALENT IN MY LOCALITY ARE:

Negligence

this the form of child Abuse that occurs due to the failure to provide for or meet the basic needs of a child such as emotional, educational and medical needs.

• Physical neglect: parents or care givers may abandon the child in the care of someone who is abusive or they may leave a child unattended, parents may fail to provide needed thing s like food, clothing,shelter to a child.

• Emotional neglect: when parents fail to show a child affection and love a child maybe ignored or rejected.
  This form of child Abuse occurs in poor families who experience financial and also environmental stresses

Physical abuse:

this form of child Abuse happens when a child is being hurt in the body for example if a child is being hurt hardly with a hand or an object such as belt leaving bruises or cuts in the child's body and it causes pains.another forms of physical child Abuse are choking, pushing, punching and kicking.imagine a father in my area boiling water and put a coin inside then told his child to put is hand and removed the coin because the child stole is money, this is unfair and this leads a child to have curved fingers till his old age.

Sexual abuse:

this is any action with a child,that is the sexual pleasure of an adult,someone who is older or more powerful than a child.this forms of child Abuse includes, piercing or penetrating the child's anus,mouth or vagina,touching romancing the child with sexual intentions but no penetration that is molestation.abusers exposing his or her genitals to a child or showing a child pornograph,forcing a child to involve in a sex act with another child,in most cases this form of child Abuse involves a close trusted adult or family member who abuses a child's trust.i have heard of a father abusing his daughter sexually,a brother abusing his sister sexually this happen just few months in my area.

Substance or drug abuse:

this is when an adult uses drugs or enough alcohol around a child or gives it to a child,taking or selling illegal drugs to a child,many children have mental disorder or have gone mad because of drug abuse others are bullying and peer pressure.

WHO IS AT THE RISK

I would say that both female and male are at risk of these forms of abuse any one can fall a victim.

WHAT EFFECT CAN THEY HAVE ON A KID

child Abuse have a long trauma effect on the child,the child will have frequent bruises,burns,marks, severe injuries to brain, eyes, mouth and also other internal organs.

• The child will have signed of emotional trauma such as fear,anger it will be very hard for him/her to trust someone,the child might hurt themselves

• ,they would have nightmares,the

• child may use drugs

• ,the child will avoid being with others

• in case of sexual abuse the child will have bruises,tears that can leading to bleeding, vaginal discharge with bad odour, sexual transmitted disease , unwanted pregnancy and sitting or Walking maybe difficult for the child

HOW CAN THE CHILD AVOID BEING ABUSED

The parents should make sure that their children is somewhere safe,

• knowing the signs of child Abuse will help teach the child to know his/her rights

• educate a child about sex and others teach them that some part of the body are private that they should not allowed anyone to play with it

• The child must be disciplined thoughtfully

• kids must be respected that is great them the same way that we want to be treated.

CONCLUSION

People that are known to neglect or abuse Children in their care are called perpetrators this means that parents and relatives people living with a child at home,others who have care for the child occasionally for example teachers,bus drivers maybe perpetrators too.so all of us should work harder to protect our child from being abuse, child Abuse must stop.
