Hello friends on Steemit and fellow lovers of kids, welcome again to my blog. How have you been? I hope you are all doing well. This post is my entry into the @steemkids contest organized by @bright-obias. I will approach this contest in the order stated below;

• If You're to go shopping for kids, what would be the best gift to buy for them?

There are many types of gifts given to people on diffrent occasions and for diffrent reasons. For example, wedding gifts and birthday gifts, but for the purposes of this contest, we will concentrate on gifts to children and the occasion that demands for which.

If You're to go shopping for kids, what would be the best gift to buy for them?

If am to go shopping for kids I will consider the bellow stated and the weight of my purse.

"four gift rule". Parents pledge to give their offspring just four presents: Something they want, something they need, something to wear and something to read. source

Again, I will consider the occasion for which I am buying the gift. For example, if I am buying them gifts for Christmas, I can buy them clothes, shoes or toys. But if I am visiting or returning from a travel, I can buy them snacks and juice or fruits.

Another thing that will influence my decision of what to buy for a kid or kids is what they demand of me. Sometime, while I go out to work or travel, I will ask these kids what I will buy for them on my way back. These things they desire specifically will inform my decision of what to get them on my way back. So when I want to gift a child, I will consider buying them a gift in line with their requests.

Have you ever bought a gift a kid? What was the reaction after receiving the gift.

Yes! I have bought gifts for kids on different occasions, both children of my friends, neighbors and relatives. I have been careful though, because buying gifts for kids can land someone into very serious trouble when the chiefs are down. Such trouble can come when a child you normally buy gift for get ill or worst still, die. You can be accused of having a hand in whatever the child is suffering from or his death.

Regardless, the best of this gesture was my visit to a motherless babies home in 2016. At this time, I was based in Eket, Akwa Ibom state. I pulled together resources with Tony my friends and visited a motherless babies home at afahansit. On that day, we gifted them with a carton of biscuits, a carton of indomie, a full roll of toilet paper and a carton of juice.

The management and children received us well and they were very happy.

We have seen in most cases that kids love gifts, why do you think they love and are so much influenced by gifts.

A gift is a show of care, love and kindness, when you gift a child, he or she will start to like you and perceive you as a friend.

This does not apply only to kids, it applies to everyone, because we all love to receive gift from our loved ones and we attach special importance to those that gift us and the gifts.

Perhaps, the reason kids love gifts and the gifters is because they don't have money and as such can't buy these items for themselves. Therefore, when you gift them, you are like an angel sent by God to stand in-between them and their needs

What do you gain from shopping for kids?

Let's quickly look at what the Bible says in Matthew 18:10 KJV

Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my father which is in heaven.

When you buy gift items for your children or children around you, they will be friendly and happy with you. This means that their angels will always intercede for you and heavens will look kindly on you.

As I do always, today, I bought buscuits and juice for my neighbors children with the permission of their parents, they were very happy. Below are pictures I shared with them while they enjoyed their juicy and biscuits.
