This particular Saturday, 25th May, 2024 had earlier been planned for. It was our Classical Choir director's wedding day, not just that, but he was also getting married to a chorister, one of the alto singers in the same classical choir, hence the name, classical wedding.
Though I specifically dedicated the day to the soon to be couple, the wedding was not until 12 noon so I tried to make a good use of the morning.
Waking up on Saturday, I had my devotion by 7am and then proceeded to take my bath before the bathroom is locked for washing.
I did some morning routines, morning chores and by 8:10am, I decided to start an assignment I was given the previous week. It was a term paper assignment I wasn't chanced to start the previous week as I planned. Since I had no washing to do that morning, I felt need to use the time for my assignment.
Like they say, time moves quickly when you're busy. Before I could say Jack Robinson (suddenly), it's few minutes past ten already.
As choristers, we were to be in church by 11am for a brief practice before the main event so I had from past ten till minutes to eleven to get breakfast and also get ready. The wedding venue was in a church in campus which is a stone's throw from my hostel so distance wasn't a problem.
By 10:30am, I went out for breakfast where I had a plate of rice and fish for 600 Naira ( Steems). Immediately after service, I came back, got ready and left for church where we did a little practice before the main event.
And yes, I left with my sister who came for the wedding as well.

The wedding was to begin by 12pm and by 12:05pm, the groom was in church.

Soon after the groom was settled in, the bride arrived.

The service began just like it's listed in the order of service. We had beautiful renditions and special numbers. The classical choir sang three classical pieces as listed in the order, two conducted by the deputy choir director while the last was conducted the choir director, that's the groom.
The contemporary choir also sang, and then the classical and contemporary choir did a joint singing which was very awesome and beautiful to see and hear.

The wedding successful came to an end as the couple were united in holy matrimony. It was then time for what I love so much; taking pictures.

The evening basically has the reception and me returning to my hostel. Just like the wedding service, the reception took place at same venue; the church, and it had so much singing, special numbers, couple's game, cake cutting and feeding, and lots more activities which made it fun.
And yes, they was food and drinks to go round and round.

Just like the wedding, the reception also gave to a happy close by past six. From there, I came back to my hostel. I was tired having spent almost the whole day out.
I took a bath and went to bed immediately. In all, it was a good day, a good Saturday in the life of a student.
