Introduction
Welcome to my blog, I am happy to take part in this Contest organized by steemkids community.
Today, I will be presenting a step by step process of making cardboard paper clock.
I decided to make this clock because, I will be using it to teach my kids how to read and tell the time correctly.
And my daughter like this clock so much right from the time we started making it.
She was involved in every part of the work.
Seeing her pick scissors for me when I needed scissors and glue when I needed glue and so on gave me much joy that she is actually learning.
Step by step art of creating paper clock
Step 1
Collect all materials needed for the work and keep them.
The materials are:
- 4 different colors of Cardboard paper
- A pair of scissors
- Pen
- Round shape plates
- Glue
- Hard paper
- Steemit logo
These are the materials I used
Step 2
Place the round shape of plate in the paper and used pen to draw a circle round it so as to come up with the shape of the clock.
I used three different shape and three different colors of paper for the clock.
Since it's made for kid, I used Sharp colors as this will catch her attention.
Step 3
Using a scissors, I cut out all the round shapes I made from the paper.
It now time to glue the different colors and sizes together.
And before that, I took a hard paper, cut it and make it form the base of the clock, so that it will not be easily torn when using it to teach my kids
Step 4
At this point, I glued all part together with the hard paper. It's very strong now. It's can't easily be torn
Step 5
The next thing, I did was writing of numbers. I also prepared the minutes and hours hand using yellow cardboard paper as you can see in the picture.
Wow! Here is my cardboard paper clock.
My daughter likes it so much and we have started using it to learn the time.
