Hello everyone! I am glad to take part in this engagement challange in the Steem Kids & Parents.
| What is forgiveness |

Forgiveness is a favour we do to ourselves when we free yourself from the person of animosity and heat created by the person that offended us.
Whey you forgive an offender, you are helping yourself heal from the hurt and the weight of negative feelings.
We can define forgiveness as the ability to free your mind of all past hurts, resentment, failures and sense of guilt created by ourselves or the action or inaction of others. Some people just have to let go of the desire to exact revenge or punishment over pass hurt

When someone does something that hurts us, we carry the hurt feelings like a load. Our twisted seance of justice leads us to believe that carring this heavy load around hurts the person who offended us. But in reality, we are the one punishing ourselves with the heavy load.
Because we think that carring this pain around hurts the other person, we don't want to keep the load down.
Forgiveness is the most intelligent solution here. drop the load and walk away.

We all make mistakes, some of the mistakes may be small and easy to overlook and others just too big to ignore. Regardless of the size or nature of the offence that may have been committed, we all have to forgive knowing that we will need to be forgiven sooner or latter.
Members of the family needs to learn how to freely forgive when they are being hurt, even when they have a good reason to feel upset. Such forgiveness weeds away feeling of animosity, resentment, grudge and the desire for revenge.
A home where forgiveness had restricted the growth of such negative emotions, members will closely bond to one another, expressing love and appreciation in ways that unite the family.

When we are forgiven, we feel we are loved because love by the who forgave us. The same applies to family members who have been forgiven. They feel loved and drown to other members of the family.
They also work towards maintaining the trust they have been given and will not want to disappoint. So I can conclude that forgiveness makes us better persons and we feel indebted in a good way.

It is true that when we forgive, we are doing ourselves a favour by letting go every resentment, grudges, hurts, anger from our heart. We all make mistakes as we are all imperfect beings, so we should expect that people will step on our toes, it could be friends, family members and even strangers but we should always be ready to forgive no matter the weight of the hurt. I'm interested in reading your post when I get to the point you highlighted that we all need to forgive. The magic about forgiveness is that everyone needs it and Sooner or later we'll definitely commit sin against another person which we'll seek for forgiveness. I agree with you that forgiveness confirm the love we have for people, I've seen a family that fought and overcome their misunderstanding through forgiving each other and let it go. When we don't forgive members of our family, it will surely bring enmity and hatred into the family. The family will be difficult to grow and there will be a lot of fracas in the family. Avoiding this means we have to forgive each other and live in peace and harmony.
