Writing Expedition Thursday||Literature: Her Revenge

Introduction

Hello steemfam, For this Thursday section of Writing Expedition, I would be telling a story titled, Her Revenge

The Story: Her Revenge

She was just 12 years old when they turned her into a monster. After all her innocent eyes beheld, it was hard to still be a kid.

To survive, she needed to grow up and that too quickly. A life carved in contempt for fate and despise for the world itself. A life of revenge.

Her Past

That evening was just like any other night in their home. Her elder brothers were on their phones, her sister was in the kitchen making breakfast while she was in the parlor watching a movie with her parents.

Her mom was throwing remarks at the terrible acting of the characters as usual meanwhile her dad was trying to understand the movie. He wasn't fond of foreign movies and an indian one at that.

It felt so normal almost as though nothing could go wrong. They were a perfect family, a truly perfect family.

The nightmare started when her sister sent her out to buy dried pepper at a nearby store. It wasn't too late so her parents weren't against it.

But when she returned... All she saw in the house was the bodies of her entire family soaking away in their own blood. In the little time she left to the store and returned, her whole life took a new turn.

She shouted for help alerting the whole neighborhood but unfortunately fate had it in for her.

She was accused of murdering her family and then running off to a store leaving them to die before returning and feigning a call for help. How they got evidence to put her behind bars had been completely unfathomable for a twelve years old.

After such a traumatic experience, she didn't dare to remain a child anymore.

Six Years Later (The Present)

Precious' lips curled up into a smirk as she placed the gun beside the barons head.

"sorpresa" she muttered in Italian and corked the gun

"Don't be sad, signore Luca will be joining you soon" she laughed and pulled the trigger

She wiped the splashes of blood on her face and grinned maliciously. There was no glint of childish innocence or naiveness in her eyes. No guilt, only satisfaction. She was now 18 years old and a monster.

Apparently, the reason her family had all died was because her father who was a detective had uncovered a case of some illegal hard drug shipment in the country but unfortunately, his partner had betrayed him for fast cash. That betrayer was now dead too. She made sure she savoured his death.

She was coming for them. All of them involved in any way with her family's death. They were going to pay. This was just the beginning.

They would realise that their biggest mistake was keeping her alive. She was going to be a thorn in their skin until each and every one of them were vanquished to hell.
