If Phones Were Humans...
Hello from this part of the world steemians. This is another contest brought forward by Steem kids and parents Community titled; If Phones Were Humans...
We know that our phones serve many important roles in our lives but on this piece who would be relating our phones to humans. Assuming our phones suddenly developed human features and could react to all our actions and inactions, would life be hell or heaven?
Would your phones be alive today if it were a human? Give reasons for your answer |
---|
Now, after deep thought and contemplation, I have come to a conclusion that my phone would be alive but probably sick and injured.
Injured in the sense that my screen guard is already showing sign of damages in some places and considering the long hours I spend on the phone, any human being subjected to such amount of work would definitely fall ill but death is too far fetched.
Also, since my phone is not suffering from any "deadly disease" or completely "dead", I think it is safe to say that if it were a human it would still be alive at least for now.
Not sure though if my phone would agree with me on this.
Do you give your phones rest or do you make it work 24/7? |
---|
I give my phone rest at intervals. Like when I'm attending classes, asleep or in church but outside these occasions I would probably be on the phone.
At least, this is how it used to be until I joined this platform. Now my phone has less amount of time to rest since I spend more time on it engaging in various contest and with other users.
Sincerely, I spend most of my time on my phone but I do let it rest at intervals when I take my own rest so no, I do not make it work 24/7
Describe a situation where your phone might feel happy, sad, or frustrated. |
---|
The phone I am currently using was given to me by my dad not too long ago. After getting a new phone the next thing to do is get a pouch and screen guard.
For me, I got my screen guard fixed much later. While I was using the phone without the screen guard, I was bothered about scratching the main screen and I'm sure my phone was "worried" as well.
So when I accompanied my sister to get her new phone I decided to get my screen guard done there too. So I would say that was one of the times my phone was happy.
If it were human, it would have probably screamed in delight. Finally being protected from scratching and looking miserable must have been a thing of joy for it.
Now an instance were I think my phone must have been sad and frustrated is when I cracked it's screen guard and also consistently playing music on it even when I am about dozing off.
Just imagine getting a human to sing you to sleep and you wake up to person still singing because you haven't ordered him to stop. At this point anybody will feel frustrated by this sort of tasks.
What advice do you have on phone usage? |
---|
Indeed, the use of phones has tremendous advantages especially in this current age. There are some privileges a phone user would have over somebody without a phone but everything we do requires discipline.
Despite the phone is advantageous, it also has many disadvantages that can be tackled with self discipline and effective time management routine.
We should have the educative and resourceful apps, sites and platforms we visit often and also avoid those ads and platforms that are of no advantage to our life.
Also, we should have a time where we give our phones rest resisting the urge to check our notifications, go online or watch movies.
This contest has been especially knowledgeable. An opportunity to understand more about an item we use constantly, almost all the time in our lives
I invite my friends; @usoro01, @basil20 and
@zekanem, to partake in this contest.
