FAVORITE SUBJECT IN SCHOOL
Hello my dear steemians and kid lovers, i hope you all are doing great and most especially not letting the kids or babies in you to fade away. Life has its way of making these magical childhood memories give way to more stressful current occurrences. I would like to thank @steemkids community for the opportunity given me to go down memory lane and relive my school days.
My secondary school
Back in school, i used to be a very shy and quiet kid who intrinsically took more interest in wanting to know that i was well seen, understood and loved. Aside other things, i would take more time on my appearance and how i carried myself. I made sure my hair was kempt, i would worry about a pimple that will pop up on my face, my impatience to own a beard pushed me to apply all sorts of concoction on my face even though it wasn't yet time for that biologically. I guess the quest of looking good and be admired explains my love for BIOLOGY, yes biology was my favorite subject. Biology opened me up to the obsessive world of living things that i pursued it up to the university. Guys, would you imagine that this obsession pushed me to keep and nurture ants in an transparent artificial ant nest along side some friends right in the dormitory? Just so we could watch them dig through the soil, watch them eat on the croumbs of food we gave them etc. That was so exciting!

I will not say i was perfect in Biology but my passion for the subject and for understanding living things made me excel such that i got a price as the best student of my class (form 4) in Human Biology subject.
None of my biology teachers in all classes were my favorite teachers because i bonded more and on personal terms with other teachers. I was just passionate about the subject.
We used to study together in groups and very often got assisted by research from books signed out from the school library (where i got my artificial ant mound inspiration).

This passion for biology and the love for living organisms has forged my love for dogs, birds and plants as companions at my home.

Biology thought me how the body functions and why it reacts in a certain way to what it ingests and what goes on around it. This directly implies to what I've come to learn across time and experienced; that every thing can happen, somethings are made to happen at a certain time, but everything certainly happens at the appointed time. Equally, i have learnt that we can't have it all but we can make the most of what we have. My kids and the kids around me will certainly not go through the internal struggle i went through physically and psychologically especially as a teenager, wanting to force things to manifest prematurely or being what you are not. Given that kids love me a lot and i spend a lot of time with them as well, they will grow more balanced, focusing their time and energies on what is paramount and relevant at every point and not worry about what they can't change at each moment. Aligning with one of the universal principles; the principle of "Allowing", this attitude will cultivate discipline, focus, patience and excellence.
Spending time with my kids
I hope i kept you glued to your screens as i shared these memories with you. I equally hope my story and experience apart from being entertaining, is inspiring and the lessons could be adopted as well.
Thank you all for your patience in reading and let's keep the steem up because the kids depend on us and the babies in us need to stay alive.
