#club5050 – The Diary Game {Thursday, 14 April 2022} || Laughing with the children before starting the tarawih prayer
Friends and all moderators @SteemKids. On this short occasion, I again describe my togetherness with several children in my village surau just before the Isha prayer and Tarawih prayers start.
I myself came to the surau where our village worships right at 07.30 more than 30 minutes West Indonesia Time. At first I just sat alone waiting for the call to prayer which was quite long. But as soon as I sat down, two twins came who were brought by their father to join the prayer together later.
The two twins are very different both in terms of facial expressions and behavior. One is white and the other is a little black. I also immediately approached the two and jokingly asked what his purpose was to go to the surau at night.
With an innocent and innocent tone one of the children answered that they aimed to pray the same as other adults would do later. I also idly test them reading the prayer readings. But neither of them wanted to read it. I also pretended to take money out of my shirt pocket and showed them while I kept saying "who can read the prayer readings well, then I will give this money".
They were still shy and didn't read it, so I gave the two of them some of the money I showed them. A moment later the other congregations began to arrive, a child who was smaller than the two twins also came and was brought by his parents.
Me and a friend of mine, who is none other than the Village Youth Leader, sat with the three children just joking. The little child also looks very stubborn and easy to get along with parents. Dianya is not shy about answering any questions we ask her.
Shortly after that, the call to prayer was sounded and we immediately performed the Isha prayer and the congregational tarawih afterwards until 21 and 30 minutes West Indonesia Time.
Throughout our prayers, the children remained childish, that is, they liked to grab behind their parents who were praying. But that is the nature of children that we have to understand. Because children are little angels, without the presence of children in a surau, it indicates that the village no longer has the next generation who is diligent in worshiping.
After the prayer, our Village Youth Leader gave them a drink of what the other worshipers drank during the congregational prayer earlier. The children were just playing with each other's water. When we were about to go home, I went back to the children and said to be diligent in going to the surau and attending congregational prayers as adults do.
