As children we face such situation and often we think that we will manage everything but then we are caught by reality. Maybe this is also good because then experiencing once how it is we will not repeat it. I can imagine how you felt being embarrassed when found yourself that you were not prepared, I had the same situation when a child. On one hand I am glad that once we get older we also mature and think about consequences maybe not all of us, but I believe majority learn from that.

It is funny that everything later gets repeated when we tell our children in advance, there is a good wisdom, that we learn on our own mistakes. It is a shame but that is a human nature :)
