Hello dear @steemitblog, it is our delight to bring to you our our second week update for the year. A lot of things has improved and has been unfolded in our dear community. Please continue reading as you will get to see many exciting activities and updates from us.

OUR COMMUNITY PURPOSE / AGE ELIGIBILITY FOR KIDS

Steemkids community has maintained it's one purpose till now. Our purpose remains to touch the lives of our dear kids through steemit.
We will not go back on our words to support our dear kids and assist them to grow and be better steemians.
We are delighted that the kids are learning from the good examples set in the community and they keep being happy and sharing their stories and thoughts with us.

We keep on verifying those between the ages of 13-18 and helping them to grow. Hopefully these ones will become experts in their steemit journey and thus be able to help others.

OUR CURATION ACCOUNT / CLUB STATUS

Last week we came up with he announcement that we will give more support to mostly those that support us in terms of their delegation and creating original posts. Many has responded to this announcement and we have continued to support them using our community curation account @steemkidss. Our Mods has continued to work and to check on the posts made in the community to ensure they are in line with the community rules and purpose. WEEK 2: STEEMKIDS MEMBERS SUPPORT PROGRAM, OUR EFFECTIVE TOOL FOR CHECKING PLAGIARISM|| EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE MODS

We made sure to upvote all the publications that have been checked by the mods and the link dropped under that post. Below is the screenshot of the accounts outgoing upvote:

Because of the delegations from our dear members and our power ups, we have recently gotten many steps closer to our goal, we have already hit 65k Sp and we keep moving forward. We appreciate all our members who have made delegations to us and the Curators who continue to support us. Here is the post we made about this achievement:

We recently created a post where all our users who wants to delegate to us or wishes to increase their delegation will indicate there. In the post you will find who our delegators are and also our targeted Steempower.

OUR PROJECTS (CONTESTS)

We love to keep our kids and other members active in the community and that is why we continue to host and improve our projects/contests both the ones specially for kids and the ones everyone can join in and participate. These projects can be found below:

GRASSROOT CRYPTO EDUCATION FOR THE KIDS

We have reintroduced the grassroot crypto education for our dear kids. This is to help them keep up to the world's trend and to learn about the world's future, crypto. This time our dear crypto teacher @fredquantum is taking the kids on the lessons and we appreciate his work
He has released the first lesson on cryptocurrency and has also given assignments to the kids to participate in. The lesson is found in the post below:

SKIDS-CORNER FOR KIDS

We have updated this special interaction contest for the kids. Thus contest has proved to be a great tool in keeping our dear kids active and helping them to meet new friends in the platform.

STEEMKIDS COMMUNITY WRITING CONTEST

This contest we hosted is for the purpose of getting to know the importance of kids in the community and in steemit as a whole, we are eager to read interesting entries from many of our dear friends and we are glad to be receiving a few so far.
The contest is also intended to keep our members active in the community.
The following points are to be considered when writing their entries:

Who is a kid in steem kids community?
What key roles do they play in steemit ecosystem?
Are they relevant here?
From your own experience, how have they contributed to the growth of both Steemkids community and steemit as a whole?

Any other relevant points can be an added advantage.

Update on the back to school giveaway for kids using our charity account

We still await more nominations for the back to school giveaway that we intend to share to the kids who are nominated. So far we have been able to deliver to 6 kids and we hope for more to be nominated. We have written a reminder to our members to be aware:
