Greeting to all kids lovers all around the world. it is with great delight that we announce our first charity project as a community. it is no longer news that children are the leaders of tomorrow so we need to pay so much attention to their upbringing and ensure we have a great tomorrow because whatever we sow into their lives today will manifest tomorrow.

Steem is a platform of impact so we choose to focus on these kids to impact their lives in our own little way through Steem.

when we talk about kids we also include the special needs kids, every child is inclusive. our society tends to treat the special needs kids as outcast, like they don't belong but it's so wrong and in steemkids we care about all the kids regardless of their background.

To show that we really care about all kids, Our first charity project is going to be in a special needs school, a school for the deaf and dumb.

we made our first visit to the school on 15th June 2021 and we were amazed at the warm welcome and the openness of the students and teachers.

We are very grateful to these self sacrificing members.

They were able to speak with the head teacher and tell him we will like to know the challenges they are facing and how we can come in. He told them that they are facing a lot of challenges but before he start mentioning them he will like to inform the founder of the school and get back to them.

After the meeting with the head teacher they then proceeded to the class to talk with the pupils and students.
A brief introduction was done about them to the teachers.

They were able to go round the school and noticed some challenges.
The classroom are not conducive enough and they run a two in one classroom.

Speaking with the students

They got to the junior secondary wand asked the students what their challenges are as these once can list out there challenges. They spoke and one of the teachers interpret with sign language and they communicate with them using sign language.
Majority of them complained about where they sleep, as the school is a boarding school. The bunk wood is shaking and they are scared one day it will collapse.
The ladies complained about their toilet and bathroom.
They complained about the electricity as well.
with their complain they decided to take a look at the hostel and see for themselves what they are talking about and they saw that most of their complain was accurate.

They communicated with us here and then promised to go back to the school to help them with whatever we can raise. The headmaster requested he gets the permission of the founder before we proceed.

When we get feedback from them, we will decide on how and what we can carry out with our limited resources. We pray to grow someday to be able to take care of the needs of the kids we meet.
