SEC17 WK:#3: large and small families, likes and dislikes

Is good to participate in an engagement challenge once again after a long time. Engagement Challenges aren't easy but am ready for anything this week. This community always has wonderful topics and I want to start this week engagement challenge entries with this community. Family is a group of people related by blood. We all have family by the special grace of God. Nuclear has been kept for the talk for this week, why not sit down while I begin my post for you to read and learn something new.🤗

The nuclear family consists of only the Father, Mother and children. So many steemians has a nuclear family and am not excepted. The nuclear family is found numerous in some countries while the extended family is found numerous as well in some countries but in my country Nigeria I will say is a ratio of 50:50 There are so many nuclear family in Nigeria and there are also so many extended family in Nigeria.
My family is a nuclear family and I love this alot, my parents gave birth to four children and they are both excited that God gave them 2 boys, 2 girls. I really love this and I wish to have the kind of sequence with my wife when I grow up. The nuclear family is very peaceful and they expenses aren't much. I only witness an extended family when I travel to my grandmother's house in the village.

Everything has it's own advantage and disadvantage so I will be talking about my likes on the nuclear family now.
a large family
Low expenses: There's no much expenses in the nuclear family than that of the extended family, because the children aren't much so the parents won't be paying more school fees or buying alot of foodstuffs.
Quality time: The parents will have enough time for the children because they aren't many. Unlike large family where by the parents won't be able to attend to all the children.

There's also disadvantages of nuclear or small family and I will talk them now.
a small family
Low self-esteem: Most times the kids who might be 3 in number, will want to learn how to face a crowd but they won't be able to achieve this because there are not enough kids in the house to act drama and make a presentation in front of them.
Workload: So many of us are fully aware of this particular disadvantage, when there's less than 4 children in a family, the workload because very much and this is the reason large families was common in the olden days. Large families always have big lands for their children to weed or farm. Though am ok with the with my family small size.

It's true what you said, everyone has their opinions and reasons, sometimes they prefer a big family because they can support and help each other more, but some people prefer a small family because it's cost-effective. Keep sharing interesting and useful posts.

Small families have many advantages. In a small family one can study as far as one wants. In a nuclear family, career is emphasized the most. So children can build their future beautifully. Congratulations that you belong to the nuclear family.

Nice reading your post, you made it clear that you will love to have a small family like the size your parents have, that's a nice one.
It's better to have a small family where you as a parent will be able to carter for and also give them the quality education that they deserve.
