SEC17 WK:#1: Forgiveness unites family
Greetings dear friends,
I welcome you all to my blog once again. It's the 1st week of the engagement challenge and I'm delighted to share my entry in this very community today.

The topic of discussion for this first week is an amazing one which is Forgiveness unites family. Indeed forgiveness unites every family because without it the entire family will be divided.
To discuss in-depth on the said topic, I will be using a few tips below. These tips are going to be a guide to assist me answer or attend to the contest properly. Without further ado, let's get started.
| People rather see those who forgive or who ask for forgiveness as weaklings. |

Truly a lot of people see those who forgive or those who ask for forgiveness as weaklings especially when it comes to men. In the African context, it's difficult for a man to ask a woman for forgiveness because of much pride in them.
In most cases, the man even after doing wrong will not ask for forgiveness because they believe that it is the woman who is the weaker vessel and should be the one to ask for forgiveness.
To me, I don't see those who ask for forgiveness as the weaker vessel as a matter of fact, I see them as the stronger vessel. It is only a strong person that can swallow his or her pride and then tell his fellow human that he or she is sorry for the wrong they have done.
So in summary, if a man or a woman does something wrong or he or she is bold enough to go and ask for forgiveness, then that person is an even the more stronger person and not a weakline. This is because it only takes the strength to say I'm sorry.

I view the above first tip which is People rather see those who forgive or who ask for forgiveness as weaklings as not correct in my opinion. In my opinion, I see them as even the strongest because it only takes the strong in heart to ask for forgiveness and even forgive another.
Asking for forgiveness means swallowing your pride and then coming to someone who may be less than you to ask him or her for forgiveness or forgiving the person for peace and unity to reign in the house.
When you forgive or you are asking for forgiveness it means that you want unity and progress within the family. It doesn't mean you are less than human it means you are a promoter of people and unity and you want to progress in the family or wherever you find yourself.

Yes, there is a situation that occurred in my family which brought out the quality of forgiveness. While growing up, I noticed that my father and his younger brother were not on good terms because of an act that my father's younger brother portrayed some years back. This made them have serious issues that they don't like seeing or talking to each other.
On a special day, we had a family meeting and they both reconciled and when that happened, we saw peace and unity within the house once again. Everything within the household was just moving as planned because both brothers had come to terms with each other.
We the children now have two parents and we can confidently go to our brother and then ask him for anything and he will do it for us and same goes for his children as well so everyone within the family became very okay. So that is where the power of forgiveness and reconciliation played a role.

Hola amigo...tienes razón no es muy común ver a un hombre pedir perdón creo que todavía hay hombres machistas que creen que porque pidan perdón seran menos que la mujer.
Pero debemos aprender a perdonar tanto los hombres como las mujeres.

En el contexto latino debido a las infidelidades entre parejas el perdón se hace necesario el problema es la reincidencia, el problema es que la sociedad machista difícilmente pide perdón porque en su mismo contexto masculino lo ven como tonto pues son hombres y situaciones como esas es normal, sin embargo, no hay nada más sano que tener personalidad propia y considerar el perdón como alternativa de salud mental sana sin preocuparse por lo que otros opinen al respecto, perdonar es una decidión y nadie debe influir tu derecho a perdonar y pedir perdón . The storyline you portrayed has touch a lot, from the of yours you portray how your father and his younger brother had a small misunderstanding which stop them talking to each other nor even seeing each other, but on a very good day they arranged a family meeting to for them to reconcile and stay in peace, as the perfect result, you guy's now got two parents and that has been example to you as a children, the story indicates the importance of forgiveness such that it brings peace upon family like your dad and his brother.
