Steemkids Weekly Contest #1 Topic:What's The Best Way To Discipline A Child? Date:02-07-21

Hello @steemkids and fellow steemit friends, greetings to you all in the house. I have the pleasure to share my content with you once again concerning this topic in question.

For me, discipline takes various forms such as chastisement(punishment), correction, exhortation, instruction, education etc,in fact all of this boils down to training.

Given the topic under consideration, when it comes to disciplining a child, there's no stereotyped, rigid or strict way, especially considering the temperament of a child.

However, mankind's creator, God, has told us the best way to discipline and raise a child through his written word the Bible, and we do well to trust in his advice found at Ephesians 6:4
Therefore in line with this divine counsel, i try as much as possible to be balanced in my view of discipline toward my children, by not being unnecessarily difficult for, or unfair to them nor going to extremes while administering discipline, in order to help them benefit from the training.

Granted,it's not out of place to beat a child or better still use other modes of discipline if he or she does something wrong as the Bible recommends, according to proverbs 22:6,15, still it has to be meted out in the spirit of love in order to succeed in getting the child readjusted.

Of course, apart from beating, which is one aspect of discipline, other appropriate forms of discipline can also be used or applied sometimes while raising a child, for example practical advice, correction, instruction and reproof when necessary, may suffice depending on the kind of offense committed by the child and also the nature of the child.
Yes, for one to really succeed in disciplining and raising a child, he or she must vary his method and administer his discipline in love but with firmness,in line with divine direction.

In my own case, when i was very much younger living under the roof of my parents, i benefitted a lot from parental training or discipline, particularly my father. Although he was a strict disciplinarian and very firm, he meted out his discipline with love, free of intimidation and his discipline actually molded me and i grew up to become a responsible adult and family head today.
For example, during my childhood days, my father used different approaches in his discipline due to my hot-tempered disposition, such as beating, advice, correction, education in the light of God's word as the case may be, and in fact he did all of this out of love but was firm, and all these forms of discipline that he used on me proved successful.

At this point, i invite @goodspeed22, @essygold and @meymeyshops to participate in this contest.

In conclusion, i am grateful to the admin and my steemit friends for making time to peruse through this entry, and i hope i have been able to throw light on this subject concerning child's discipline.

Of course you're right, it's a God-given responsibility for parents.

That is true training already is a work giving to parents, and as you said it can come in various ways
