Dairy Game: Nigerian local meal “Bole”
INTRODUCTION
Hello everyone,good afternoon hope you all are having a great day and I believe you all had a memorable and wonderful Valentine’s Day.
Hope you all like eating food as for me I am a foodie and can’t even last six hours without eating something.
Which leads me to my todays entry which I will be writing about one of our traditional food called “bole” it comprises of yam, plantain, ice fish and pepper sauce.
Today I visited a bole-stand because I was craving it wonderful taste…that’s me standing in a haste to consume one of my favorite food.
Firstly, You begin the preparation by preparing a hot place like a camp fire then place a net like pan on it(iron net to avoid melting) then proceed to peeling your yam and plantain,wash thoroughly before placing it on your heated iron net.
proceed to adding seasoning to your already washed ice fish and place it on your heated iron net.
Secondly, you wait until it is fully cooked. To know if it ready for consumption it will look brownish for the yams and deep yellow if burnt,black for the plantain and dirty brown for your fresh ice fish as seen in the picture.
The third part is the pepper sauce,put an empty pot on the hot net, add red oil Wait for a minute or two then add fresh tomatoes, pepper, maggie, salt, onions, and a little water. stare for 5mins and it ready.
lastly,Use a knife to scrape the burnt area from the roasted yam and plantain so that it doesn’t taste bitter,
your delicious Bole is ready for consumption.
