Steemkids Mathematics Lesson Week 5:Simple Equation

Introduction
Good morning to you dear friends.Trust you are in sound health.Learning never ends and we shall continue to learn together. We have been able to learn quite a lot from my previous lessons.We aren't resting on our oasis.I know we are going to learn even more from this week 5 lesson.
This week we shall look at the topic Simple Equation.It is a topic that forms the integral part of algebra.
Simple Equation
An equation in simple term is an algebraic expression that has an equality sign.This means that an equation invloves a combination of numbers and alphabets in addition to having an equality sign(=).
Below is an example an equation 2x=10 as you can see.It has numbers,alphabet and an equality sign.Simple equation is simple to solve.You just have to collect the like terms and divide by the coefficient of the unknown (alphabet).
Another important point is solving equations is that whenever a negative sign (minus) crosses the equality sign,it automatically becomes a positive sign(plus) and whenever a positive sign(plus) crosses the equality sign,it automatically becomes a negative sign (minus).
The objective of the lesson is to know the students to understand how to solve simple equations any day,anytime.Proper understanding of this topic will help the students to solve other mathematical problems with ease.Try to see the video for proper understanding.

At this juncture.Let us carefully look at some practical examples which would help us to understand the topic very well.

5x + 17=32
2.) Find the value of K in the equation

4.) Solve the equation
6 + 7x - 1=5x + 15
