A Lesson Life Taught Me

A lesson a friend I trusted so much taught me

What is the most valuable lesson life has taught you?	•

Let me that by saying this, Don't Ever Trust Anybody

I said that because I was betrayed of what my friend did. Back then when I was in secondary school, I had a friend named Peter. We have been friends since we entered junior secondary school one (JSS1). We learned together, copy note together, come to school together, had dinner during lunch together. Most of the things in school we did absolutely everything together in school including our class average in terms of our results.

One thing I didn't know about this my friend was that when I comes to exams outside school exams that is either he tells you wrong answer or he doesn't answers you in the exams hall. So one he did was betraying my trust. We were in our senior secondary school 3 (SS3) during our first exams of WAEC, we wrote mathematics that since I was feeling too well that I couldn't read my books that I trusted my friend that he will show me since we normally sit in twos together.

The examiner was here and the exams kicked, because of how the arrangements was made I sat at his back knowing fully well he would render help. Immediately I tapped his back he ignore and I continued several times but yet no response. By the time he fed for me tapping me, he called the attention of the examiner and said that I was copying him. Immediately I was so shocked to hear him said that, after that moment I was changed to the back where I finally received the help I needed

What experience helped you learn this lesson? Please describe it.	•

The experience helped me learn that don't trust anybody in this no matter because my very close friend in senior secondary school 3 refuse to help me when I needed him most. I wasn't feeling too well I was sent to the back simple because he told the examiner that I was copying him meanwhile I was asking him a little for a help instead he accused me of copying.

How has this lesson changed your life. Or the way you make decisions today?	•

That lesson has changed my life because now as a university student I make sure that no matter how hard an exam may be out of six questions I can proudly answers four on my own before asking any body in the exams hall all thanks to that friend of mine whom I fully trust.

What advice would you like to give others based on your experience?	•

My advice to others is that don't trust anybody in this life irrespective of who the person is to you, no matter what be it your mother, father siblings, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, friend whosoever don't trust even the book of God says so.

Also learned how to depend on yourself, learn how to do things alone, don't wait until someone comes and teach, study ahead, plan ahead and also believe in yourself.
