Update #36: Writing Expedition ✍️. [Tragedy : The Only Child Died Prematurely]

Introduction

Happy new month in advance friends, it has been long I posted a story here in steemit, have been busy with alot of things that's why posting stories here isn't what I do frequently anymore. Anyway today I will be talking about a sad story of a single woman who lost her only daughter who's also a football star. Today I will talk about the first episode and continue the second one next week.

Episode 1

Once upon a time there lived a very hardworking woman known as Stacey she lives with her only daughter Bella. Stacey isn't married as she got pregnant by her boyfriend many years ago and he died when Bella was 3 years old. Stacey's boyfriend died after he was assassinated in the bush while harvesting palm fruits.

Bella is currently 22 years old and she's a 200 level university student. Bella is a football star in her school and she's very good in playing football although she isn't very popular in her school yet but she has alot of friends in school.

Stacey sells food in a restaurant and she's a very hardworking hardworking woman who has sacrificed alot to make sure Bella survives and also go to school because she wants her to be a university graduate. Stacey do has alot of customers who always patronize her business everyday and this has made things easy for her abit.

Being a single mother isn't easy at her, Stacey loves her boyfriend alot and she vowed never to marry any man after he died. So many men have been approaching Stacey for marriage but she never listen to them and this normally make them dislike her alot. Stacey is still very beautiful and she looks younger than her actual age.

One day Bella's school was playing a football match with another school girls and she wasn't selected because she didn't come for training and alot of people doesn't know her much but the coach knows her alot as he's the elder brother to Bella's secondary school Chemistry teacher.

The match started 65 minutes ago and the other school was winning Bella's school with a score of 3 - 1. Bella was very angry because she can't be present when he school is losing a female football match. She walked up to the coach who was already disappointed and pleaded with him that she wants to play.

The coach refused but later agreed and told his assistant to help her get ready with one of the jerseys. Immediately she was done, a substitution was made and 50% of the girls were surprised when they saw Bella because they don't know her but the others that knew her were excited

Bella scored one goal and all the girls became happy and 5 minutes later she scored again and it was now 3 - 3 while it was also the 87th minute. Two minutes later after 6 extra minutes was given, one of Bella's team mate was roughed by their opponent while she was trying to score standing close to the post. They were given penalty opportunity.

Bella's teammates who knew her wanted her to play the penalty but she humbled herself and said that one of them should play it that the 2 goals she has scored are both enough. They agreed and one of the girls played the penalty and scored. One minute later the match ended and Bella's teammates and Coach were all happy for her as she was the woman of the match.

I will continue the next episode next week Thursday as this story is a combination of fiction and non-fiction as I got inspired to post it here from a real life story I heard 3 three months ago. Thanks for reading friends.
