Update #15: Writing Expedition ✍️ The one-eye barber

Experience is something you cannot learn from others, but only yourself

Most times in life, experience is the only thing that makes us change from bad to good. Once you are a bad person and experienced something very bad in life, you will definitely repent and turn to a good person.

A stubborn sinner can never repent just by seeing somebody's two legs being cut off by a motor accident. Is only when this sinner himself experience a situation where his own two legs gets cut off that he will repent because just like I said I the beginning "Experience is something you cannot learn from others, but only yourself" once you experience it yourself, you will change for good.

The one-eye barber

Once upon a time there lived a boy known as David, he's never serious in whatever he does because his parents has money alot and he believes he will acquire his parents wealth once they die since he's the first son among his parents 5 children. His parents will always warn him to leave play and become serious in life but he will not listen.

Few months later David was done with secondary school and his parents told him that he must learn a skill before entering the university. David refused and said he will never learn a skill that he doesn't want to do anything but to eat, play basketball and relax and home as well as press phone.

David's father talked to him personally one night and told him that is very important to learn a skill because there are so much importance in learning one. His father told him that here in Nigeria most graduates don't get a job after school and they end up learning a skill or working under someone to survive while the wise ones continue the skill they have knowledge about before they entered school.

David finally agreed to learn a skill but he said his father won't tell him the one he will learn, he will decide for himself. David finally decided to learn barbing He registered for 6 months in a barbing salon and he began to learn the school after completing all the payments and arrangements.

At some point the two barbers in the salon David is learning, discovered that he's not catching up fast and he's always spoiling people's children hair. The barbers began to warn him to sit up all else he won't learn the work. David wasn't as serious as everyone thought he might be, he was always forgetting how to barb the skin punk, low cut and fee ones he knows how to barb.

Sometimes he will be asked to shine big men head and make sure his smooth but he will be barbing the hair anyhow instead of step by step, left to right or front to back. He will just start from the center, rush to the left and enter the back and the men will get angry with him as well as his boss for letting a learner barb them. His boss will get angry with him and tell him to kneel down outside.

There was a time David started coming to the salon late in the morning, he's supposed to be in the salon by 8:30pm but he will be coming few minutes past 10am which is very bad. His parents will warn him to stop watching tv at night so that he can wake up early and go to work but he will refuse. David was feeling discouraged as he thought he will learn the work fast that's why he decided to learn after being forced to learn a skill.

Conclusion
