I totally agree with you. Giving is such a wonderful thing. It's like what that Bible quote says, "It's better to give than to receive." I've experienced it firsthand too. When we're generous and help others, it brings us this amazing feeling of joy and satisfaction deep inside. So, I totally support your advice of always trying to do good deeds and help those in need.
